Fresh Start to the New Year 2013

Another year has come and gone and of course we all have a long list of resolutions we want to accomplish.  But this year we are really going to stick to them, right?
We decided to start off our first post(on the 1st Thursday of 2013)with a DIY 3 day Juice cleanse! After getting a juicer for Christmas, we decided to put it to use.  A juice cleanse is a great way to kick start a healthy lifestyle plus there are many benefits that go along with it!
  • Improved focus
  • Improved cardiovascular function
  • Anti-Aging, healthier hair, skin and nails
  • Improved bone & joint function
  • Stronger Immune System
  • Better digestion
  • Better overall mood
  • ENERGY!
But it takes commitment and determination to see it through.  The first few days you may feel tired and HUNGRY! But I assure you that it will subside and you will feel better then ever.  Stick with it and you will feel empowered and in control of what you are eating.  Here are a few pics of the first days of juicing:
Produce shopping completed! Problem..not sure if it will all fit in the fridge!!
Now for the first juice of the day. So ready to try out my new Dash juicer!
Red Hot Juice: eh not my fav but it was ok
Green Juice: AWESOME! Love this juice!

Sarah – What’s your take on just buying naked juice (http://www.nakedjuice.com/our-products/juice/green-machine) versus buying a juicer and all of the products. Thanks,

Hey Tyler! I love the Naked Juices when I am on the go and need a healthy snack or meal replacement but I think it tastes a lot different then the fresh juices made at home. I just got my juicer a few weeks ago and use it all the time now. Started off with the 3 day juice cleanse but now I have at least 1 juice a day instead of breakfast or lunch. They taste great, are fresh and you get a ton of healthy benefits from them and I have noticed a difference in how I eat because of it. I recommend trying a juice at Robeks or another juice store to see how you like it and then if you do, go for buying the juicer! But just a warning it can get messy and requires you to purchase a lot of produce but it is so worth it! Hope this helps!

Thanks Sarah. That definitely helps. Casey tipped me off to your plan and I want to try it, but I don’t want to buy a juicer and have it sit in the closet because it’s not worth it. Hope you’re doing well. Thanks for the inspiration…
