Flowers + Dress Up

I had a difficult time coming up with a theme for the nursery. I don’t personally like a lot of pink stuff and didn’t want her room to be too princess like, however I still wanted to feel like I had a little princess. My happy medium was to keep it boho chic with soft pink and tan colors adding a couple pops of green from succulents and a few faux flowers. I was happy with the results and my little flower child seems to dig it so far too! Now having a sweet baby girl, I feel like I have tried to get in touch with my feminine side a bit more. I’ve found myself eyeing the floral dresses and softer tones over the usual dark or muted colors paired back to sneakers or slides. I don’t know how realistic this look is in real life but it’s fun to play dress up every once and a while, right? Now of course I’m so late to the game as always and should’ve posted this a while back as this color way is now sold out. I did however link this exact cut in more of a fall friendly color. Summer Forever

Can summer last forever? Ok, maybe not forever because I do enjoy my seasonal treats and holiday decorating, but this season always seems to go by the fastest while winter lasts F.O.R.E.V.E.R. Seems a little unfair. An additional month added on to summer would be pure bliss. One more month to bask in the sun and sip on your favorite chilled rosé. Maybe we could start a petition? Luckily, LA brings lots of sunshine with almost always perfect temperatures. This usually lasts all year round so it’s the closest I’ll get to summer forever. With that being said, it has still been pretty hot here so as much as I would love to put on some fall inspired clothes like I see all my friends back on the East Coast wearing already it’s just not practical. At least not yet. So for now you can find me in shorts and loose cotton tops to keep me cool through out these fall LA days. Floral Trend: Forever 21

One trend we are really loving this season is the floral trend. It’s kind of always around each Spring and Summer but there is a new twist with it this 2016 with edgier components and more of a chill vibe and feel. Which is why we are loving every minute of it. You can be girly and fun with a comfortable low key feel with flash backs of our youth from the 80’s and 90’s. We rounded up a few trend essentials that we love together with these floral prints. Chokers: Chokers are back and we aren’t complaining. It’s a nice switch up for an accessory trend with fun nostolgic memories. Cognac or Neutral colored cross bodies: An effortless bag that’s soft for the warmer weather and easy to sling on while on the go in your adventurous activities. Ankle and strappy short heeled sandals: Loving the heel height because its much more comfortable than stilettos! Mirrored Sunnies: They are vibrant with personality during the most fun and active season around. Denim Jacket: Bringing back the 80’s here with some light weight layering for Summer.
