These aren’t your typical mom jeans … I seriously couldn’t help but smile this entire shoot because quite frankly I was just in my mommy element. Give me a comfy, over sized denim shirt that I can easily wipe off spit up and baby food with out staining along with a well fitted pair of denim that’s a bit trendier than the norm, any day. Baby girl is now 6 months. Can you believe it?! She’s half a year old!! I never really understood why mommies always took monthly photos, but now I do. You have to cherish EVERY single MOMENT, because with the blink of an eye they are a complete new baby. Adaline went from an infant to what I feel like a toddler within just weeks. Ok maybe not a toddler, but she’s a big girl! She is eating solids like a pro (and now pooping more than ever like a pro), napping like a champ, sitting up, laughing, rolling, playing and all that cute baby stuff. A Festive Date Night

Can you believe it’s December 8th already? Seemed like just yesterday we were sitting around the table enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family and now we are in full swing prepping for the holidays and the coming of the new year. 2016 is approaching quicker than I had expected and the anxiety has officially settled in. I have a tendency to get caught up in the chaos when I should be relaxing and taking in the last few days of the year and reflecting on what I have accomplished and what I hope to accomplish in the new year. So this time around, I’m going to take things slow, relax and enjoy the holidays and the loved ones around me. My husband and I always plan one night a week for date night to ensure we are doing just that. No distractions around us, just good ol’ fashion conversation. And with the holidays around the corner, for this date night I attempted more of a festive look with my new Byer California top. Saratoga Style

Saratoga has a special place in my heart, always has. It has been my family’s annual vacation spot for over 20 years, a place where we can fawn over beautiful horses and most importantly the place where Casey proposed to me 2 years ago. Saratoga Springs is located in upstate NY, just 15 minutes north of Albany. It’s a quaint and town full of charming houses and lovely people that have a fondness for horses. I look forward to my family vacation there each and every year not only for the horse and family time but also for the break from the heat. In the past few years I have made it a tradition to splurge on a special dress just for the races. This year I decided to go local and I purchased a sweet and flirty dress from a boutique in downtown Saratoga called Frivolous Boutique. I was immediately drawn to the polka dots, the cut and the overall race day vibe it was giving off. Just like any other horse race you may have attended, dresses and large hats are highly encouraged.
