Finding hair Utopia with SASSOON SALON … With the cold weather comes new trends, styling and inspiration. Of course we automatically think fashion but another important element not to forget this time of year is your HAIR! I mean, wo do rock this piece every day so it’s not something to over look. I left Sassoon Salon the other week not only with a new fresh do (color compliments to Dianne and cut thanks to David) but a new take on what’s trending in the hair world. It’s not an area I’m most knowledgeable on, so going straight to the experts to spread the word is the most beneficial for everyone, trust me. What I got out of my visit and what we will be seeing a lot more of is, UTOPIA. It was inspired by the relationship we have with the digital age, fashion and the many creative visions of the future. We are seeing a ton of trends emerge in the industry, on the runway, and of course on the streets this season which is fashioning the future as we know it. In The Navy

A trend I’m loving for pre-fall/fall 2016 are all the Military inspired styles. But not just the usual army fatigues that we usually see this time of year. Designers were inspired by a different branch in the military this season … the Navy. From pea-coats to sailor pants, with rich navy colors and heavy duty fabrics with iron on patchwork. I’m really excited about the new take on this trend, giving a little love to all branches of the military. Now of course temperatures are still quite high and I’m holding off on truly representing the Navy trend as of now. So for now, this is my interpretation of this fall trend … This jumpsuit combo I found from VIPme was inspired by the looks I saw coming down the runway. I love the cropped, full leg with button details paired back to this sleeveless turtleneck. Perfect buy now where now for fall and can easily transition in to the colder weather with a leather jacket thrown over the shoulders. Packing for New York Fashion Week is no joke, especially in mid February. It’s a battle of what will be super chic, fit in your suitcase and will also keep you warm in 1 degree weather. I tried my best to look put together most of the time I was there but I’m not going to lie, by the end of the week I was bundled in a comfy sweater and my poofy down parka. But beyond the cold weather, it is still a struggle to decide what to bring to one of the most fashionable events in all of the world. It’s a lot of pressure! Luckily I discovered a secret weapon to keep my outfits looking fresh, on trend and all at an affordable price. My little secret is that I usually borrow…yes borrow a purse to take to Fashion Week.
