It’s The Thought That Counts – Cuyana It’s always better to give rather than receive. It just feels good to give a great well-thought-out gift to someone you care about. Seeing their face light up when they open it, is just the icing on the cake. So instead of giving a bunch of useless gifts that mean nothing, we always try to take the time to really think about the holiday gifts that we give to our loved ones. What do they really need or what would they love to have that they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves? A cashmere sweater or monogrammed bag? You can’t go wrong with giving something classic that won’t go out of style after one season. Cuyana has been a go-to gift-buying destination for us because their products hold up, we know from experience! Their pieces are extremely well made and constructed from the high-quality materials, so you can rest assure that even the pickiest person on your list will be impressed. Most all of their leather goods can be monogrammed, which gives your gift a personalized touch! There are so many great gifts to choose from on the Cuyana site but we have narrowed it down […]

With so many gift ideas and websites to buy from, it can be a bit overwhelming to find a meaningful present for the loved ones on your list. That’s why when we are in search of quality gifts, we always turn to Cuyana because we know they will never disappoint. Instead of buying dozens of gifts that will be re-gifted next year (yes that happens), pick out fewer better things that will last. Here are a few items that we think would make great gifts this holiday season. Sweater: You can never go wrong when giving cashmere. This sweater is soft, luxurious, season appropriate and a gift any woman on your list would love receiving. So good that we even scooped one up for ourselves! Card Wallet: Large wallets are a thing of the past, they hardly fit in purses anymore and why exactly do we need to cart around those business cards we got 5 years ago along with our old blockbuster card from 1999. Instead, wrap up something cute like this wallet (which you can also monogram) that holds just the essentials. Saddle Bag: This mini saddle bag is the perfect neutral color to match any girl’s wardrobe this […]

We all have heard the saying that less is more and fewer is better but I don’t think we really began to understand how true these statements were until we both owned houses of our own. It’s incredible how fast the years go by and how many things you end up accumulating along the way. Before you know it you are the woman who lived in her shoe, surrounded by a mountain of clothes the size of Everest that you haven’t touched in 5 years. And let’s not even talk about the handbags that have claimed their own entire walking closet. With clothes taking up their own residence, how is that we still complain that we have nothing to wear? As we teetered on the edge of becoming that lady dwelling in her shoe, we knew that there had to be a solution to the madness. And that boiled down to pairing down the wardrobe, getting rid of the mounds of clothes that we hadn’t been touched in practically a decade and making room for wardrobe staples that would actually earn their keep. Our closet cleaning kick came at the perfect time, right before I made my trip out to visit Michelle in […]

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a few short weeks away. Each year it seems like the holidays sneak up on us and then we are left scrambling trying to find thoughtful, quality gifts at the last minute. After years of being ill prepared and giving presents that looking back we aren’t so proud of, we are finally thinking ahead and getting our shopping done early (major #adulting moment). Sure, you can pick up an abundance of gifts at Macy’s or any neighborhood department store but do you ever find yourself questioning why you are buying tons of meaningless gifts? We think that the MORE gifts we give the happier the person unwrapping them will be. But is this true? Maybe the key to holiday gifting is to focus on giving fewer better gifts with more meaning rather than waisting money on a bunch of insignificant things. You want the person that unwraps your present to feel special; like you put time, thought and energy into finding something that […]
