Now that summer has finally arrived and things have slowed down a bit in both of our lives, we are getting back into our date night routines with our hubbies. After a long workweek we both look forward to closing our laptops, shutting off our phones and spending some quality time catching up and reconnecting with our husbands. Whether we are heading out on the town to try out a new restaurant in one of our neighborhoods or staying in to cook together, we always make an effort to look and feel our best. After being married for a few years, it can be easy to fall into the habit of “this will do” or “I’ll wear that new dress next time.” Don’t get us wrong, we have been there too. Date Night Downtown LA

I’m having way too much fun out here in LA. Believe it or not, I had never even visited LA prior to moving here. I like taking chances and the timing felt right in my life. I’m so glad I took the plunge because as you can see above… I’m quite the happy clam at high tide. What I love about LA is it’s a melting pot. The food options are endless, finding the most delicious and unique spots is my mission. It’s one of my favorite things to do on the weekend, making a quality Date Night time exploring new restaurants with the hubby, mainly it’s an excuse to wear heels. We tend to stay in our bubble in West Hollywood far too often, so this night we decided to venture to downtown, where the creative graffiti is abundant and the lights are colorful. Of course this created a perfect outfit back drop too 😉 I’m loving this lil’ black romper from Byer California and how effortlessly chic it is. Alternative date night idea I found these print outs online and thought this would be a fun alternative way of deciding on what to do that night! Simply write them in the hearts; movie night, restaurant; make dinner together, etc Gently rub a thin layer of soap on top of the hearts… Grab any color acrylic paint and apply a few coats… let it dry and scratch away!
