I would be lying if I told you that I didn’t live in my athletic gear. I have an entire room full of clothing but 9 times out of 10, I will throw on leggings and a tee over putting thought into getting dressed in a cute outfit. Sometimes it just seems too exhausting. Of course, there are instances when I need to wear actual pants but when I’m working from home or running errands, it’s pretty much a guarantee that I’m in athleisure. But don’t be mistaken, just because I’m not decked out in pearls and heels doesn’t mean I’m looking like a slob in my sporty attire either. No way. I make a point to look pulled together whether I’m headed to the drug store or to a Congressional Happy Hour with my hubby. You never know who you might run into, so might as well look decent, right? As a fitness junkie and the Style and Beauty Editor of Strong Fitness Magazine, I try out a ton of athletic gear. You name it, I have probably tried it on and done a Crossfit workout in it. And all of these of these Athleisure looks below get my stamp […]

As you guys know we love our organic skin care products. We are constantly in the search for the next best thing by having to test the products out to see if it’s the right fit for us. Fortunately for us, we were introduced to Vegan Cuts. They have a Vegan Snack Box and Vegan Beauty Box that is sent out monthly packed with unique cosmetics, luxurious skincare and so much more. Everything is cruelty-free and vegan, which we love! It’s the easiest way to discover cruelty-free brands without committing to full-size products or prices. And once you find the beauty products or snacks that you absolutely love you can simply purchase the full size right on their site. They make for great gifts too and offer a variety of different fun packages. Our favorite product in the beauty box was our Bellapierre English Red nail polish. It glided on with perfection and was the perfect shade of red. We had been dying to try out the 21 Drops product line, so we were stoked when we found a sample of Focus in our beauty box. 21 Drops is an essential oil therapy that is formulated to promote clarity and concentration, which […]

Do you guys remember a few years ago, when everybody—no, literally everybody—was rocking the Juicy Couture velour tracksuit? You know what I’m talking about? The one with “JUICY” emblazoned on the backside? That is, if you were “hip” enough to grab the original. Later the trend came to encompass bottoms that advertised “PINK,” “RUTGERS,” “ED HARDY” or assorted other brands on the asses of America. That tracksuit was fashion poison, and of course I had one two a few. In assorted colors. That I wore with Uggs. Because of course I did…and when I walked down the street I felt in style, trendy, hip—generally awesome. Until I one day I realized that, regardless of how “in” they were and what celebrities were wearing them, velour pants looked awful on me. Especially, (but not exclusively) velour pants that could comfortably fit five 4-inch tall letters with room to spare across my rear end. But if we’re honest with ourselves, that happens every season, right? A trend catches fire and produces the “it” item.
