If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you love style and fashion. Maybe you love dresses, especially? Or specifically Diane von Furstenburg dresses? Can you remember when you fell in love with those dresses? Do you recall what started you on the sometimes heartbreaking and often bank account breaking fashion road? Here’s my story: I was raised in the racks of Loehmann’s (R.I.P.). This was back in the day – before we became spoiled with outlets and eBay. This was when Loehmann’s was the only (magical!) place you could buy designer clothes at a bit of a discount. Thousands of items hung squished together on enormous racks, but because it was so heavily discounted, the brands didn’t want their presence there known so designers made the store cut the tags out of their clothes. Imagine for a moment, walking into a store filled with both good stuff and garbage, and not having any obvious clues about what was Chanel and what was Anne Klein. A Weekend at The Saratoga Races

Jumpsuit by DVF, sunglasses by Ray-ban and fascinator purchased in Saratoga boutique. Dress by BCBG and bag by Street Level Bags. Saratoga will forever hold a special place in my heart, it has been an annual vacation spot for our family since I was a baby and it is also the place where Casey and I got engaged two years ago. I grew up in a horse loving family, so it is only natural that our family vacation would be centered around an equestrian event. Saratoga Springs, NY has so much charm and character behind it, from the historic homes to the natural springs and everything in between. I am sure you have ordered one of those blue bottles of sparkling water sold at your local restaurant, if you have then you have had a taste of Saratoga (literally). The race season at the Saratoga track starts in late July and runs six days a week through the end of August, which makes for the perfect time to visit to escape the southern heat. Spring Trend Report: Art Pop

Designers took wearable art to a whole new level of loud for Spring 2014 using pop art patterns, brush stroked fabrics, and graphic prints to turn the dial at Celine, Christopher Kane and Prabal Gurung up to 11. Hopefully we can all justify the purchase of one of these “works of art” or “investment pieces” for our wardrobe, while most of us won’t be rocking these exact runway looks, they should inspire us all to be a bit more daring this spring. So don’t be afraid to go for that graffiti print, because no pattern is out of bounds for 2014.
