My very first baby, Louis. I have been more than M.I.A., because all that has been on my mind is the horrific loss of my sweet boy Louis. I’ve never felt a loss this great, with such anger and pain that won’t go away. I wanted to dedicate this post to him and his story in hopes that happier thoughts start to resonate and raise more awareness to something I never thought possible or even imaginable. He was originally diagnosed with a respiratory infection after we noticed a few weeks of him being a bit more lethargic. I honestly thought at age 8 he was just getting older. The few weeks of soft whimpers to be picked up on the bed in the middle of the night because he could no longer jump up should’ve been a sign but I took it sadly as old age. With his diagnose I was trying to be hopeful that in a week he would feel brand new after antibiotics, as I was told by the Vet. A few days later, he looked worse than ever which lead to a life changing call with results coming back negative to what he was diagnosed with. My heart dropped right then […]

Surprise! I think we may need a bigger closet now … Have you ever had that small, nagging feeling that something is just a little off, but you can’t put your finger exactly on what it is? Well I was having that feeling, but it wasn’t quite like any way I’ve ever felt before. It wasn’t exactly like those days where I questioned whether I left the hot iron on or forgot to lock the front door. I had a feeling that I need to be protective or cautious of something, but of what? On August 19th, 2016 I was 4 days late but this wasn’t too shocking since I’ve been irregular before. Our friends were in town visiting and we were planning on taking them to our favorite sushi joint, Sugarfish. But I just couldn’t shake the funny feeling I was having and the possibility of pregnancy began to come to my mind more and more. I decided I had to take a pregnancy test before indulging in delicious sashimi that evening. Sure enough… two tests later and an ultra sound to prove it, surprise, I’m pregnant! It still feels surreal to say it since I always expected that we […]

After our whirlwind trip to Miami, we were in desperate need of a night of pampering and relaxation. The Miami heat, high heels and countless hours waiting in line for the next show took a toll on our face, back, feet and overall well being. So you can only imagine how excited we were when Dogvacay.com contacted us to try out their pet sitting services. Their site is so easy to use and we have read nothing but positive reviews and feedback about the company and their sitters. We started by searching their site for a local host and were thrilled to have found a well reviewed sitter that lived near by to come watch our little guys while we headed to the spa. We both went for a casual and comfortable look and carried our new Signature Collection bags from Free Endearment. Sarah is wearing her go-to boyfriend jeans by Zara, white blouse and carrying the Dana bag. Michelle is wearing her favorite white J Band jeans, J Crew chambray button down, white lace tennies by Superga and is also carrying the Kristel Signature Collection clutch. Patiently waiting for a treat before our departure. Old Town Alexandria is rich in history, […]

Spring is finally upon us, yet we are still bundled up here in DC with snow still covering the ground and temps in the low 30’s and 40’s. It’s kind of hard to think of wearing shorts and silk dresses, in the near future, when all we want to do is throw on sweats and a hoodie. This week we felt inspired by the the sporty trends that strutted down the Spring 2014 runways. We paired this must have rag & bone v-neck sweater with a pair of Zara boyfriend jeans and a pointy toe pump to create a soft, casual look yet still appropriate to keep us warm in this brutal weather. Definitely looking forward to pairing this sweater with a cute black skort or cut off boyfriend shorts once the temperatures warm up! Thanks to this sweet boy, Louis, for modeling with his mommy. Lucky for him, he has a full fur coat to keep him warm! Outfit Details Sweater: rag & bone (buy here) Jeans: Zara Women’s (sold out online, try these) Shoes: Jimmy Choo Studded pump (sold out, love these!) Lip Stain: YSL babydoll kiss & blush (buy here) xo Michelle and Sarah
