Walk Your Walk Fashion Week is an iconic time of the year for me. Amidst the hell season called midterms, the fashion gods have gifted me with stunning Fall 2017 collections created by my favorite designers. Bloggers, such as Aimee Song (my all-time favorite blogger) and A-List celebrities walk (Kylie Jenner and the Hadid sisters) and watch these shows to show appreciation for the geniuses behind the pieces they will all be wearing this fall. Today, I’m here to talk about some of my favorite pieces from this season’s Fashion Week in NYC and Paris. Fendi: Red Is the New Black Red is one of those colors I think encompasses everything I want to be: classy, bold, and stunning. I only wish I could work it. Red just isn’t a complimenting color for me, but I can still stare and drool at Fendi’s uh-maaaazing red pieces, right? Just look at how the shapeless sweater just works with those skin-tight, thigh-high leather tights. And don’t even get me started on how the semi-sheer dress just flows. Alexander Wang: Keeping Black, Black Alexander Wang is one of my favorite designers. He loves black just as much as I do. No one would […]

Simplify your style … Fall might be one of the most loved seasons over the year simply because it’s the most fun to dress for. Colder weather allows for more layering which means more opportunity for trends, unexpected styling and cozy, comfortable looks. But what do you do when the weather just isn’t cooperating? When you are over summer dressing but it’s just not cold enough to pull out your favorite sweaters and oversized jackets just yet. Well I use this transitional period to simplify my fall looks with easy throw on dresses. It’s comfortable, breathable and can easily pass for fall dressing by pairing with some cute booties or over the knee boots. I always love to add a wool hat to complete the look because it’s another element of styling with out actually layering the look and complicating the simplicity of the ensemble. This dress from Noa Elle embodies everything I was looking for. I love the billowy sleeves and lace detail making this little black dress more than just your little black dress.

90’s Inspired Trends: Layered Slip Dress As you know, the 90’s are having a serious moment right now, form plaid skirts and high waist jeans to chokers and chunky platform shoes. Like most trends of the past they make their way back around. Some for the best others could do is all a favor and stay forever in history like plucked to death eyebrows. That unfortunately I’m guilty of and never want to relive. Smh. I have to yet to try the layering slip dress trend inspired by the good ol’ 90’s and of course wanted to give it a whirl. I don’t believe I actually ever even wore this look in the 90’s but Im in to it now. I mean, the concept is great, being able to wear a sexy slip dress but toning it down with slim tees or barely there knits underneath makes it so much more versatile. This dress has been given a transitional season makeover in the most comfortable way possible. I’m all about comfort these days.
