1. Sergio Rossi Godiva/ 2. Vince Basic Luxe/ 3. Karl Lagerfeld Scarf/ 4. Frame Denim (on major sale!)/ 5. Vita Fede Wrap/ 6. Vita Fede Titan/ 7. Balenciaga Chèvre Bag (amazing steal!) Whether or not you got hooked on the 50 Shades of Grey series, one thing we can all agree on is that the Glacier Grey color will be the trend for Spring 2015. We thought it would only be fitting to put together a 52 Thursdays of Grey inspirational board in honor of the 50 Shades of Grey premier on February 13th. Grey can be a relaxing and soothing color while exhibiting an uber luxurious and classic sense of style. The monochromatic look is another favorite of ours, so why not combine the two trends in to one chic, effortless look? We believe that every outfit should be built around one item. That one piece should inspire your entire look and that way every outfit will never be the same. We found this Balenciaga Chevre bag, gently used for only $600 (originally $2,125) on our favorite new online consignment boutique, Snobswap and absolutely fell in love with it. This piece will definitely be added to our wish-list, that is, unless you snag it first! So if you happen to […]

Did you know that over half of all women wear glasses…crazy, I know. Donning a pair of glasses were literally teenage me’s worse nightmare. Oh how times have changed, now kids wear spectacles with faux frames! So, if over half of us ladies are required to wear some type of vision correction, then we better look good while doing so. We were introduced to SelectSpecs and were given the opportunity to try out a pair ourselves, and we were pleasantly surprised. Despite a large selection of designers, frames and styles to choose from the selection process was easy. Finding high quality prescription eyewear that looks great but doesn’t break the piggy bank can be quite difficult. Thanks to SelectSpecs large selection we can select multiple pieces that will give us the flexibility to match our looks/outfits. I fell in love with the Savannah style. It’s versatile with a fun, playful nerdy edge to it. They’re essentially an accessory to your outfit rather than a day to day necessity. If you happen to be a part of that above percentile and are looking for an update in your eyewear closet, then we encourage you to try out SelectSpecs. Add a few more fun, fashionable pieces to your selection […]

Do you guys remember a few years ago, when everybody—no, literally everybody—was rocking the Juicy Couture velour tracksuit? You know what I’m talking about? The one with “JUICY” emblazoned on the backside? That is, if you were “hip” enough to grab the original. Later the trend came to encompass bottoms that advertised “PINK,” “RUTGERS,” “ED HARDY” or assorted other brands on the asses of America. That tracksuit was fashion poison, and of course I had one two a few. In assorted colors. That I wore with Uggs. Because of course I did…and when I walked down the street I felt in style, trendy, hip—generally awesome. Until I one day I realized that, regardless of how “in” they were and what celebrities were wearing them, velour pants looked awful on me. Especially, (but not exclusively) velour pants that could comfortably fit five 4-inch tall letters with room to spare across my rear end. But if we’re honest with ourselves, that happens every season, right? A trend catches fire and produces the “it” item. Before we know it, some sort of noxious fashion fumes overcome us and we find ourselves obsessed with buying something that is so in, so on-trend, that we forget to think about whether […]

DC got hit with yet another winter storm. Several inches of fluffy white snow covered our streets leaving most DC area residents stranded at home. We felt it appropriate to feature this week’s Spring trend on the white out look, which DC decided to take to a whole other level! The Spring 2014 runways were dominated by white; models were dressed head to toe in all shades of white creating an effortless, powerful yet feminine and goddess feel. Jason Wu Runway J.
