Summer doesn’t always have to end … especially if you live in LA 😉 No but seriously, with the constant change of weather I’m making my summer pieces last a bit longer this year. If this Fall is anything like last season, I will be sweating my butt off in 80 degree weather while I attempt to layer and stomp around in heavy boots as if it ever snows here. So this time around I want to make my favorite styles last a bit longer while introducing some fall trends to keep up with the rat pack. I’m o b s e s s e d with this little blue floral number that I found from Wylie Grey. They offer some of the cutest, most trend driven staples edited down to perfection with a friendly price point for a pleasant online shopping experience. This dress for only $89 has just been the easiest thing to throw on during these painfully long heat waves while still feeling cute in a ruffle number. To phase a dress like this in to Fall I love the idea of wearing an oversized houndstooth tailored blazer like this one for a little pattern play or the […]

I had a difficult time coming up with a theme for the nursery. I don’t personally like a lot of pink stuff and didn’t want her room to be too princess like, however I still wanted to feel like I had a little princess. My happy medium was to keep it boho chic with soft pink and tan colors adding a couple pops of green from succulents and a few faux flowers. I was happy with the results and my little flower child seems to dig it so far too! Now having a sweet baby girl, I feel like I have tried to get in touch with my feminine side a bit more. I’ve found myself eyeing the floral dresses and softer tones over the usual dark or muted colors paired back to sneakers or slides. I don’t know how realistic this look is in real life but it’s fun to play dress up every once and a while, right? Now of course I’m so late to the game as always and should’ve posted this a while back as this color way is now sold out. I did however link this exact cut in more of a fall friendly color. Which, hello?? Can you believe it’s almost fall?? I sincerely […]

It’s a floral spring fling … You could call it a spring fling … or my on and off love affair with floral dresses. I love the idea of a floral dress but always fear this look isn’t the best for me nor suit my personality. But when I saw this off the shoulder floral maxi with high slit from Tuckernuck, I knew it was love at first sight. I wore it the very next day after I received it in the mail. It was the perfect maxi dress to wear to lunch that weekend. I’m not one to wear heels as often during the day because comfort is always key in my weekend styling . So I opted for some flat gladiators (which btw- the taller style is more than half off now) to dress down the maxi and wore a few casual black accessories to tie in the look. Outfit linked below! Wearing- Dress (Lovers + Friends via Tuckernuck); Gladiators (Bell by Sigerson Morrison); Necklace (Vanessa Mooney); Hat (Nordstrom); Bag (Proenza Schouler); Sunglasses (Illesteva). All of our April showers brought some pretty May flowers, and what better way to celebrate the new month than by rolling around in the flowers. Just kidding […]

Since I was little I have always been fascinated with Greek mythology – mythical gods who ruled the world and used the Greek islands as their play grounds. Each story has a meaning or lesson, many of which I carry with me to this day. Naturally I was obsessed with the the Evil Eye pieces that I found from Carré Jewelry. The concept of the evil eye is widespread in Mediterranean countries, with its roots planted in ancient Greece. The purpose of the evil eye symbol, also known as the matiasma, is to ward off the effects of the evil eye. To “fight fire with fire” basically if ever an evil eye may fall on to you… I hope I’m covered in this department with the matching Lady Luck necklace and bracelet! Dress: Elizabeth & James; Vest: Helmut Lang (Old Similar Here); Bag: Mulberry (Old Similar Here); Necklace: Carré, Marrin Costello; Body Chain: Marrin Costello; Bracelet: Carré; Ring: Carré; Shoes: Sigerson Morrison Belle (Old Similar Here). xoxo, Michelle
