As you guys have seen from our previous posts we absolutely love Xtend Barre and knowing the fabulous owner, Natalie Strahorn, makes all this even more exciting! We are so proud of her and all her accomplishments that she has worked so hard for. This is something you won’t want to miss, promise. If you can’t make the grand opening be sure to check out the client specials at the bottom of the page to check out her chic new studio right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria and get toned up for the Summer! They are going to have three classes that day with the first starting at 8:30am followed by an Open House from 12:30-2pm for people to mingle and check out the studio. So many amazing companies are supporting their opening event including Whole Foods, Yogurtini, Barre protein bars and South Block Cafe! They will also be raffling off gift cards to Flat Iron Steak & Saloon, Xtend tanks, socks and class packages. They are located in the Dupont Circle offering a one-of-a-kind, high-end dining and chic lounge experience. If you are looking for a sexy, sophisticated hotspot with #unmiSTKable food this is the place to be seen. What sets them apart from other traditional steakhouses is their vibe-driven atmosphere with inspired cocktails and DJs spinning nightly to create an energetic, night life vibe through out the entire place. As you can imagine, we were beyond excited to be invited to a private dinner before the official grand opening party on Thursday to taste the menu. We went in with empty stomachs and left full and completely satisfied, anxious for the grand opening! We started with the Tuna Tartar and Foie Gras French Toast. Both were amazing but the Foie Gras French Toast definitely stood out from anything we have ever tried with green apple, almond brioche and sherry gastrique. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction – so of course we both ordered the filet. I choose the béarnaise sauce which was the perfect combination and added even more flavor to the perfect steak.
