ALICEANNA: Made in LA As most of you may know already, Sarah and I both graduated from Radford University with BA degrees in fashion. Although I didn’t strictly follow the career path with my design degree, my friend and colleague Patrice Gentile did. The three of us practically lived in McGuffey square, the Fashion building where you would, and still do, find students diligently working away on their master pieces at all hours of the day. It was here that our creativity was built, sculpted and brought forth in to the art of fashion. These memories are something that I still hold dear to my heart. Between the blog and work, I practically live and breathe fashion; however, the creation and design process of fashion take place on another level and it’s that foundation that I miss dearly. From sketching, picking out fabric, draping and finally sewing your piece, all your hard work, sweat and tears will live forever in your garment. The day is finally here! My husband has diligently been working away for over 2 years, designing, creating and perfecting his own line of sunglasses which is finally up for sale. His brand, J.Martasand, specializes in producing quality acetate sunglasses that are handmade in the United States – which is a huge rarity within the eyewear industry. BECCA at Swim Week

Think beach, sun, cocktails and fashion. Just a few of the main ingredients that make up Swim Week in Miami. What fashion and travel obsessed blogger would say no to a beach excursion like this? Naturally we jumped on our first trip to Swim Week last year where we were introduced to a whole new perspective in the fashion game; new swimwear lines, hotels, PR friends, start up companies, events, the list goes on. Once Swim Week 2015 was locked in, we booked our tickets and headed on our now annual adventure. We were introduced to BECCA by Rebecca Virtue on our last Miami trip and have stayed in great contact with them as they have become one of our favorite companies to work with. So of course wearing Becca at Swim Week in between our events to the pool and beach was high on our priority list. The pleasures of being a blogger is having the opportunity to mix work with pleasure.
