Football season has officially started, the seasonal Starbucks lattes are finally back, yellow school buses are making their rounds and brisk, cool nights are here and sticking around. So many traditional signs to let us know that Fall is amongst us and we are loving every minute of it. The early days of fall are always the most fun to dress for. So many transitional pieces to carry from summer to fall to even winter. The minimalist trend is one of our favorites by far. This simplistic, effortless and refined chic look is perfect for the transitioning weather, with fitted silhouettes and light layering pieces. Tights, boots and some killer wrap coats or oversized throws will take you to the next season until all you want to wear are your comfy, go to sweats come February! We wanted to showcase our favorite looks from H&M featuring the minimalist trend for this season. These looks could easily be worn for a date night out and even to the office if you throw on the cardigan. Greek Adventure Part 2: Santorini

Santorini was the inspiration for our entire trip to Greece; it was the destination that I needed to see, the one I had dreamed about. Transportation was significantly less painful than our Athens to Mykonos experience and thankfully I was able to keep my luggage with me. We always adore Starwood Resorts and had the great fortune to stay at the Vedema for three wonderful nights. The only thing better than the resort itself was the fantastic staff that made us feel at home 5,272 miles from Arlington. The Vedema is not only just a luxurious hotel with out of this world customer service and accommodations but like everything in Santorini it has incredible history. Before being reborn as a luxury resort the buildings and grounds housed one of Santorini’s largest wineries growing and fermenting the Assyrtiko grape for over 400 years. Given that history our fist order of business had to be wine tasting in the original barrel cave hosted by Vedema’s resident Sommelier, followed by a pretty glorious nap. The hot and humid Summer weather has officially made its presence here in the DC area. Don’t get us wrong, we love the warmer weathers but it can be brutal and uncomfortable if your wardrobe and makeup bags aren’t prepared for it. We wanted to share our top 7 (5 + 2) Summer Essentials to help you get through the Summer in style. 1. Mirrored Sunnies: With a cool reflection, mirrored sunnies make for the perfect shades this summer. That and they are great for taking selfies! We are loving Illesteva, specifically this tortouise style with blue contrast mirrored frames which creates the perfect POC to any outfit. 2. The Perfect Tee: We have already preached how important it is to find the perfect tee, specifically for the Summer to throw on effortlessly. Enza Costa is one of our favorite vendors because they have successfully mastered the fit and fabrication of all their styles. 52 Thursdays Celebrates Fashion For Paws 2014

We were very fortunate to both attend Fashion for Paws this year which was held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. You can always count us in for charity events especially when animals are involved! For those of you who have not heard of this runway show, it is a nationally acclaimed luxury brand event to help benefit the Washington Humane Society. The models who walk in the show agree to raise a minimum of $5,000 in just 10 weeks leading up to the event by taking part in a friendly fundraising competition. They are the bread and butter of this amazing fundraiser. We had so much fun watching these models strut down the aisle with their pups by their side, wearing the latest pieces that DC’s local luxury retailers carry. They were able to raise over $404k by the end of it all AND helped numerous sheltered doggies find forever homes that night! Such a fun event to attend, combining our two favorite things…fashion and dogs! Brilliant idea.
