NYFW: Beyond The Shows

As we wrap up our Fashion Week posts, we look back on some of our favorite moments of the week. We saw what’s to come for spring, attended fun parties, spotted celebrities, caught up with old friends and made some new ones. Being the last NYFW post of the series, we thought we would share what took place beyond the shows at Lincoln Center. As new members of Reward Style, we were beyond thrilled to be invited to their exclusive blogger party held on the rooftop at The Empire Hotel. For those who don’t know, Reward Style is a web-tool that helps top-tier style bloggers monetize content, long story short–they help us get paid!! They threw one hell of a party where they served up crafty cocktails, we mingled with good company and something all bloggers love- they gave out SWAG! To answer the question you are all thinking, no the swag bags did not include the Louboutins and Prada bag pictured above (wishful thinking) but they were uber generous! Greek Adventure Part 1: Mykonos

Poets, Playwrights and Photographers have been trying and failing to capture the beauty of the Greek Islands for thousands of years. Mykonos and Santorini are islands that must be seen, smelled, tasted and experienced. I demand that everyone put them on your bucket lists and someday visit yourself but in the mean time I will try to pick up where the classics fell short and share the best, worst, the tame and the wild that we found in Greece, starting with Mykonos. The flight was AWFUL, my absent minded husband wrote the wrong date of departure on his calendar and when he got the check in reminder a day earlier than he thought we were to depart, we had a total freak out. But after a flurry of packing, rushing to the airport and making our flight by just a few minutes, we ended up sitting on the tarmac for over an hour before taking off, resulting in a missed connection in Amsterdam. KLM then inexplicably re-routed us through Geneva and eventually on to Athens where we had to re-purchase our tickets to Mykonos because our flight had already left us. And they lost my luggage. DUO: Day to Night Challenge

We were challenged by British shoe company, DUO, to choose our favorite pair of shoes from their shop and style them from day to night. It was so much fun styling around the shoes to come up with complete new outfits, from our own wardrobe, to create two totally different looks. Check out what we came up with and all the other options that DUO has to offer! Michelle is wearing the Ela pump in Cream. “I always have trouble finding my shoe size when ordering online but their fit guide is on point.
