Lusting For Leopard

Leopard print isn’t a new concept when it comes to fashion. It pops up every few years, is played like a broken record and then is buried in your closet for half a century. But this time around, the old leopard has been updated with modern silhouettes in clothing and shoes and we can’t seem to get enough! Leopard print is practically a neutral these days because it practically goes with everything. From jeans and a tee to bright colors, it’s the perfect print to spice up any look. No matter your sense of style, there’s a cheeky way to wear this animalistic pattern. Lately, I haven’t been able to get enough of leopard. It seems every time I shop, some kind of animal print makes its way into my bag. There are just so many good pieces this season! Find some of my favorite leopard pieces below! But beware if you pile on too much leopard and you might be mistaken for a Halloween cat! So everything in moderation! xo Sarah

High summer style, get it while it’s HOT … literally. Crazy to think that we are half way through the summer with fall right around the corner. (I know … “don’t remind me”) Why is that everyone talks about how they never want summer to end but then rave about fall fashion and they can’t wait to wear booties and a cozy sweater till we are all freezing our asses off in February waiting for the next season. We love fall style just as much as the next girl but let’s be honest summer is the easiest season to dress for so you can’t hate too much on it. Let’s embrace it! Not a lot of effort and thought is required to pass off a cute summer look. I like to think of it as our cheat season. School’s out for summer so instead of racking your brain on what to wear, just think of the necessities; sandals or a cute pair of wedges, a hat to cool you off and an easy throw on dress or off the shoulder top and light bottom. Moms are generally selfless by nature, as soon as us kids arrive in the world, they no longer put themselves first. From that moment on, it’s all about us and I’m not sure if that ever actually ends. Even when we grow up go to college and start having families of our own. I know that rings true with our moms. Now, as we are in our thirties, our moms are still our rocks and the women we look up to most. 90’s Inspired Trends: Layered Slip Dress As you know, the 90’s are having a serious moment right now, form plaid skirts and high waist jeans to chokers and chunky platform shoes. Like most trends of the past they make their way back around. Some for the best others could do is all a favor and stay forever in history like plucked to death eyebrows. That unfortunately I’m guilty of and never want to relive. Smh. I have to yet to try the layering slip dress trend inspired by the good ol’ 90’s and of course wanted to give it a whirl. I don’t believe I actually ever even wore this look in the 90’s but Im in to it now. I mean, the concept is great, being able to wear a sexy slip dress but toning it down with slim tees or barely there knits underneath makes it so much more versatile. This dress has been given a transitional season makeover in the most comfortable way possible. I’m all about comfort these days.
