Anyone else feeling a little shocked that the holidays are just around the corner? It seems like just a hot minute ago we were sweating our buns off and laying by the pool and now we are prepping for Thanksgiving, then Christmas and New Years…yikes! This time of year is pretty nostalgic for us; we are actually able to unplug, unwind, eat home cooked meals and spend quality time with the people we love and cherish most. Another reason we can’t get enough of this season is for the plethora of holiday parties. There is just something about getting dressed up in your finest and heading out into the blustery night to attend a festive party that really gets us in that holiday spirit. And while we love attending these parties, we seem to always find ourselves scrambling to hunt down a frock at the last minute. This year we decided to break that bad habit and do a little planning in advance. We called up our friends at Ella Rue and asked them to scout out a few knock-out dresses for us with the holidays in mind. Behind The Scenes at our shoot with Elliott O’Donovan at Xtend Barre DC

Excited to share this sneak preview from the upcoming fitness post that we have been working so hard on. Talented DC based photographer Elliott O’Donovan was in action with us last weekend at Xtend Barre DC. And the photos are incredible. Michelle and I were accompanied by my lovely sister Laura Bartee and two local barre gurus Natalie Strahorn of Xtend Barre Old Town (opening soon!) and Kelly Griffith of Xtend Barre DC and Fuel Pilates. We had a great time learning the barre method and a lot of fun at the shoot. Gargagliano Christmas Vacation

For my mom’s birthday this year we gave her a trip to New York City to celebrate, so we loaded up a minivan full of 6 adults + 1 toddler and we drove up to the big city Griswold Christmas Vacation Style. Surprisingly we made it there in one piece and under 5 hours..so that was a win. We had a day and a half in the city so we made the most of our short time there, we saw the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, had the best dinner ever at Quality Italian, got a peak of the Today Show and the tree in Rockefeller Center and did a little shopping at FAO Schwarz. Absolutely nothing beats Christmas time in New York City. Here are a few pictures of the “Gargagliano Christmas Vacation”. Merry Christmas! Sarah P
