The sun is finally shining and it’s time to break out the bathing suits. If you’re anything like me and need to add at least 2-3 new suits to your wardrobe per season, then you might want to keep reading this post. Ok, I may be lying…that number might be more like 10 per season but who’s counting? Since I’m always on the lookout for the next cute suit and I have a few that I already approve of in my wardrobe. I thought I would share some of my favorites that I have found this season. Check out the few that I took on vacation to St. John and the ones that I have my eye on (aka are sitting in my shopping cart). Endless Summer

June 20th officially marks the calendar as the first day of Summer but here in LA it can truly feel like an endless Summer. With sunny days and clear skies you can imagine how easy it is to loose track of Summer’s arrival. But a day is just a day and what it most important is that the pools open up this weekend and that’s when Summer starts in our books. Think inflatable life size swans, cookouts, margaritas, floppy hats and a whole lot of sun. Sounds fun, we know. As soon as Sarah had booked her trip to LA we immediately got to planning our outfits, looking for fun, vibrant pieces to get us in the Summer mind set and to kick off Memorial Day weekend in style. Lilly Pulitzer is one of our favorite go-to brands to shop when headed somewhere sunny or in Michelle’s case – living somewhere sunny, so of course they were our first stop to shop. We love effortless printed styles that are easy to pack and don’t require too much thought especially while on vacation. Life’s A Beach

Outfit Detials- Top: Hazel, Denim Shorts: Citizens of Humanity (similar); Shoes: Tory Burch; Sunglasses: Ray-ban For Memorial Day weekend the hubby and I packed up the dogs and headed to the beach house we rented with friends for the summer in Ocean City, MD. Living in the DC area, it’s always nice to get away from the madness, get some much needed R&R, have a few brews, a bunch crabs and some rays at the beach. This summer I will be pretty much be living in my bathing suit and whatever else I can throw over it easily. I love this top by Hazel from South Moon Under, the appliqué detail on the front and the twisted rope t-style back make this casual top perfect for summer nights at the beach. I paired it with denim shorts and my favorite Tory Burch wedges to kick it up a notch for cocktails by the bay. If you are packing for a beach vacation this summer, keep it simple and comfortable.
