Ignition and The NYC Premier

It’s been one hell of a year. Michelle and I celebrated one year of blogging, attended our first New York Fashion Week, launched 52 Thursdays Consulting and attended our first Film Premier. And while we have had many great accomplishments this year there is no way we would be where we are with out our husbands. They are our photographers, our cheerleaders, our editors, they really help keep this whole thing going and we are so thankful to them for putting up with us! And while we have had an amazing year, I couldn’t let my husband’s even better year go un-noticed. While building an incredibly successful political media firm over the past 4 years and producing numerous award winning tv commercials, during the busiest time of his career he wrote a screen play that was produced into a short film called, ‘Ignition’. Casey’s short film ‘Ignition’, won the Volvo Cars-sponsored film contest that opened up the Jalopnik Film Festival held in NYC on November 5th and 6th. Volvo funded the project and our good friends at 8112 Studios did a beautiful job bringing life to Casey’s script. NYFW Spring Trend Report

As NYFW virgins, you can only imagine our excitement to even have received invites to go to some of these shows! When you are a NYFW newbie, you do not receive seats next to Anna Wintour or Chiara Ferragni (sadly) so for most of the shows, we had standing tickets or seats towards the back of the tent which made for some terrible pictures. We learned an insider tip a few days in, which was to stand in “The Pit” with all of the professional photogs, we may have looked a bit out of place in our 6″ stilettos and giant designer bags but we captured some great shots from there on out! We know it may be hard to think about Spring Fashion when we have barely entered Fall but we have to report about what we saw on the runways and what you should expect for the season to come. This may come in handy when you are going through some of your spring/summer pieces and wondering what to get rid of and what to hold on to. This is also a great time to score some of these trends if you haven’t already, since they are on super sale at the moment! […]

NYFW SS15 Street Style

Everyone knows that New York City is known for it’s incredible people watching but during Fashion Week people take it to a whole other level. People come from all over the world to attend the shows, to celebrate fashion and most importantly to get noticed. Lincoln Center drew a pretty wild crowd each day and the photographers were lined up to catch it all; from the fashion forward elite to the most bizarre looks we have ever laid your eyes on. In between shows at Lincoln Center, we made sure to capture some of our favorite street style looks that we witnessed in the midst of all the madness.
