Hello, again from the Big Apple! As most of us on the East coast are mentally (and physically) preparing for the long awaited summer season, I felt this would be the perfect time to share some of my plans! Along with the majority of NYC, I head out to the Hamptons every weekend during the summer months. For some of you who may not know, the Hamptons consist of small magical beach town communities on the tip of the South fork of Long Island. Fortunately for me, I actually grew up out here! I do understand this comes as quite shocking news to some, but Yes, I was born and raised in East Hampton. As you can imagine, this area is near and dear to my heart. Although it is well known for to the upscale shopping and celebrity homes during the summer season, it truly consists of quaint little towns nestled by the sea. This Memorial Day weekend, I decided to take advantage of the serenity in one of my favorite parts of the area, Sag Harbor. Founded in the early 1700s, Sag Harbor used to function as an old whaling village. The antique homes containing “Widows peaks” as well […]

Hello, 52 Thursday readers! My name is Jacqueline and I am extremely excited to announce that I will be joining Sarah & Michelle as their NYC contributor! I will be popping in from time to time to provide you all with the latest from the Big Apple! As I have known Sarah & Michelle for quite some time, and a fellow Fashion gal, I jumped on the opportunity to join their exciting team! The Spring in NYC is one of my favorite times of the year. Just this past week, it felt as if the city had woken up from a (very) long hibernation. Suddenly, cherry blossoms and tulips line the streets and the people of New York are smiling and out and about again!I currently live downtown in Manhattan, as many twenty-somethings do. But, one of my favorite activities during this time is to make a trip up to Central Park followed by a fabulous boozy brunch. It is the start of Rosé season after all! My new favorite UES (Upper East Side) trendy spot is Pizza Beach. Located on 81st and 3rd avenue, it is a quick walk from the Park. You MUST try the Rosé sangria, paired […]

Jumpsuit by DVF, sunglasses by Ray-ban and fascinator purchased in Saratoga boutique. Dress by BCBG and bag by Street Level Bags. Saratoga will forever hold a special place in my heart, it has been an annual vacation spot for our family since I was a baby and it is also the place where Casey and I got engaged two years ago. I grew up in a horse loving family, so it is only natural that our family vacation would be centered around an equestrian event. Saratoga Springs, NY has so much charm and character behind it, from the historic homes to the natural springs and everything in between. I am sure you have ordered one of those blue bottles of sparkling water sold at your local restaurant, if you have then you have had a taste of Saratoga (literally). The race season at the Saratoga track starts in late July and runs six days a week through the end of August, which makes for the perfect time to visit to escape the southern heat. If you plan on making the trip next year, which I hope you do, here are a couple of my favorite places to visit. Call the […]
