Hello, 52 Thursday readers! My name is Jacqueline and I am extremely excited to announce that I will be joining Sarah & Michelle as their NYC contributor! I will be popping in from time to time to provide you all with the latest from the Big Apple! As I have known Sarah & Michelle for quite some time, and a fellow Fashion gal, I jumped on the opportunity to join their exciting team! The Spring in NYC is one of my favorite times of the year. Just this past week, it felt as if the city had woken up from a (very) long hibernation. Suddenly, cherry blossoms and tulips line the streets and the people of New York are smiling and out and about again!I currently live downtown in Manhattan, as many twenty-somethings do. But, one of my favorite activities during this time is to make a trip up to Central Park followed by a fabulous boozy brunch. It is the start of Rosé season after all! NYFW: Beyond The Shows

As we wrap up our Fashion Week posts, we look back on some of our favorite moments of the week. We saw what’s to come for spring, attended fun parties, spotted celebrities, caught up with old friends and made some new ones. Being the last NYFW post of the series, we thought we would share what took place beyond the shows at Lincoln Center. As new members of Reward Style, we were beyond thrilled to be invited to their exclusive blogger party held on the rooftop at The Empire Hotel. For those who don’t know, Reward Style is a web-tool that helps top-tier style bloggers monetize content, long story short–they help us get paid!! They threw one hell of a party where they served up crafty cocktails, we mingled with good company and something all bloggers love- they gave out SWAG! To answer the question you are all thinking, no the swag bags did not include the Louboutins and Prada bag pictured above (wishful thinking) but they were uber generous! Spring 2015 NYFW Midweek Highlights

We arrived in NYC for New York Fashion Week and have been busy bees, snapping photos at our favorite shows, capturing the some amazing street style and taking in some pretty cool parties as well. We have so much to share with you but we thought we would give you highlights of some of our favorite moments thus far. Spring 2014 Trend Report: Pastels

Another week has gone by and it hasn’t gotten any warmer in DC. Why is it that every time we sit down to write about spring, we get hit with another winter storm?? Maybe we are jinxing this whole spring thing, maybe it will never actually come our way. If it ever does decide to grace us with its presence then we suggest you look into adding pastels into your wardrobe. Pastels were all over the Spring 2014 Runways. Yes, that means you can finally pull out those gaudy easter outfits that have been haunting the back of your closet for years, Spring 2014 is finally their time to shine. When the snow finally melts you should expect to see lots of placid blues, violet tulips, warm hues of hemlock and shades of sand. All very easy on the eye and simple to add a piece or two into your wardrobe to give you an updated look for the warmer weather.. if it ever comes.
