Walk Your Walk Fashion Week is an iconic time of the year for me. Amidst the hell season called midterms, the fashion gods have gifted me with stunning Fall 2017 collections created by my favorite designers. Bloggers, such as Aimee Song (my all-time favorite blogger) and A-List celebrities walk (Kylie Jenner and the Hadid sisters) and watch these shows to show appreciation for the geniuses behind the pieces they will all be wearing this fall. Today, I’m here to talk about some of my favorite pieces from this season’s Fashion Week in NYC and Paris. Fendi: Red Is the New Black Red is one of those colors I think encompasses everything I want to be: classy, bold, and stunning. I only wish I could work it. Red just isn’t a complimenting color for me, but I can still stare and drool at Fendi’s uh-maaaazing red pieces, right? Just look at how the shapeless sweater just works with those skin-tight, thigh-high leather tights. And don’t even get me started on how the semi-sheer dress just flows. Alexander Wang: Keeping Black, Black Alexander Wang is one of my favorite designers. He loves black just as much as I do. No one would […]

What do I love about fall? I could bore you with a long list of reasons why fall rules but big chunky sweaters are probably right up there with my mom’s homemade pecan pie. I wear them with pretty much anything I can get my hands on when the temperatures start to drop. Boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, flares, leather, etc. A great sweater will go with pretty much anything you wear it with. I have stacks and stacks of wooly sweaters that I have collected over the years but I can’t seem to stop myself from adding to my collection when fall rolls around. Sweaters used to all look the same to me, some with crew necks, others with v necks and then there were sweaters with turtlenecks. All classics that I own and love but this year I decided to spice things up and add some with isometrical hemlines, tassels on the hem and cropped cable knits that can be layered over button up shirts. Most of the looks that I create with them tend to be simple yet chic and effortless looking. Sure, dressing up in fancy dresses can be fun for special occasions but for normal day to day […]

Days have become a bit cooler, leaves have begun to fall and pumpkin spice lattes are being served at every corner coffee shop. All signs that fall has arrived. There is just something about this season that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and make us gravitate towards cozy clothes that you could practically curl up for a nap in. This sweater dress is one of these pieces. I wore this cozy ‘Mod’ look while attending fashion week and while the weather hardly felt like fall at the time, I pushed through anyway (to photograph this look) and came out practically unscathed. All in the name of fashion. I went for a mod look and paired this shift sweater dress with my favorite over the knee boots, round sunglasses and finished the look with a sleek top knot. I hope Twiggy would be proud. This look is easy, requires little to no thought to put together and is perfect for practically any occasion this fall/winter. I usually air on the side of simple when it comes to getting dressed and sweater dresses and shift dresses make life a ton easier for me in the cooler months. Just throw […]

As we wrap up our Fashion Week posts, we look back on some of our favorite moments of the week. We saw what’s to come for spring, attended fun parties, spotted celebrities, caught up with old friends and made some new ones. Being the last NYFW post of the series, we thought we would share what took place beyond the shows at Lincoln Center. As new members of Reward Style, we were beyond thrilled to be invited to their exclusive blogger party held on the rooftop at The Empire Hotel. For those who don’t know, Reward Style is a web-tool that helps top-tier style bloggers monetize content, long story short–they help us get paid!! They threw one hell of a party where they served up crafty cocktails, we mingled with good company and something all bloggers love- they gave out SWAG! To answer the question you are all thinking, no the swag bags did not include the Louboutins and Prada bag pictured above (wishful thinking) but they were uber generous! Check back soon for more info on Reward Style where we will explain how it works and how you can shop from our website and Instagram. Sarah is pictured here wearing […]
