Crop tops are not going out of style anytime soon. They re-emerged in 2011 and have yet to fade out as we see them making their way down the runways of Fall 2015 and I’m sure we will see them again very soon in Spring 2016. Crop tops have proven to be a staple item. The next time you’re editing your closet, consider holding onto your crop top(s) as history has proven that they’ll come back around. They have made their rounds throughout fashion in various forms – from collared, short sleeve styles in the 1940’s to cut off sweat shirts and tees of the 80’s aerobics era. When you think of a crop top, you think “all out” (abs, belly button and all). Well, this is what I love about the selection of today’s crop tops, we can get creative and put our own personal style in today’s options. Whether it’s a high waisted fitted skirt for a curvy night out or style it with a pair of cut off shorts for a relaxed, good-vibes feel. Below I paired a Free People’s crop top from South Moon Under with my go to Enza Costa high rise, wide leg crepe pant for more of a flowy, day to night look. […]

My cousin Julia got married to the man of her dreams in Carmel Valley this past weekend, which meant… road trip! Not just any road trip, we cruised the Pacific Coast Highway, both ways. The drive on the Pacific Coast Highway isn’t like the typical east coast highways that I’m accustomed to. This road trip was fun packed with wineries, elephant seal watching, chin dropping cliff views and just a constant beautiful, open scenic view the entire drive. Not saying that the 7, 8…9 hours (I lost track) wasn’t a long time but a few pit stops sure helped pass the time. What brought me the most joy on this trip was to see my all family together. My immediate family on the East Coast that I have missed the dearest and my Nor Cal family, whom brought us all together. It was such a blessing. If you happen to be traveling along the Pacific Coast Highway be sure to check out all the places we did! There is much more to see but we brought the fur baby along, so we were limited to some of the attractions. Hearst Castle is next on the list, no fur babies allowed on the premises.
