Now that we have officially embraced fall and all it’s glory it is time to talk about how to dress in between that transitional period. You know … when it’s still pretty warm out but you are super antsy to wear the latest fall trends. Well now is the time to pull out those fall transition pieces. It doesn’t necessarily need to be layering pieces, but pieces you could wear now and later into the fall and even winter. Skirts have been a big deal in the fashion game lately. They are easy to wear and oh so comfortable. But let’s think beyond this and why it’s such a great investment. It’s the perfect fall transition piece because you can wear it with tights and booties in the colder days, paired with a cozy sweater or blazer on top … no brainer. These are the pieces I’m talking about that are perfect to transition in to. I found this suede a-line mini skirt at Top Shop the other week, actually I didn’t find it .. it was faced out in front of me as soon as I walked in. You could call it a sign from above or perhaps a very strategic visual […]

Long vests have been around for some time now, but they have finally become a staple piece on both the streets and the runways. After seeing them practically everywhere, I decided I should give it a go myself. I had been eyeing this long vest from Top Shop for a while but was struggling with how I would style it into my everyday wardrobe. After some contemplation, I finally realized that I had to take the blush-beauty home with me and ever since I have had some serious fun with it. I have found that there are endless ways to layer a long structured vest with what you are already wearing. And let’s face it, since mother nature has decided to skip spring altogether and head straight into summer, the last thing we will be wanting to wear is something that has sleeves. There are boundless possibilities when it comes to putting an outfit together with a long vest like this one and I am still finding new ways to wear it today. When it’s warm outside, wear it with a sleeveless top; when it gets cooler, wear it with a long sleeve shirt underneath; when it gets downright freezing, wear it […]

As NYFW virgins, you can only imagine our excitement to even have received invites to go to some of these shows! When you are a NYFW newbie, you do not receive seats next to Anna Wintour or Chiara Ferragni (sadly) so for most of the shows, we had standing tickets or seats towards the back of the tent which made for some terrible pictures. We learned an insider tip a few days in, which was to stand in “The Pit” with all of the professional photogs, we may have looked a bit out of place in our 6″ stilettos and giant designer bags but we captured some great shots from there on out! We know it may be hard to think about Spring Fashion when we have barely entered Fall but we have to report about what we saw on the runways and what you should expect for the season to come. This may come in handy when you are going through some of your spring/summer pieces and wondering what to get rid of and what to hold on to. This is also a great time to score some of these trends if you haven’t already, since they are on super sale at the moment! […]
