My name is Michelle, and I’m a sucker for Zara . . . Yes, it’s true. I have a problem like most of us do. I’m addicted to Zara. Though to me it can be quite an overwhelming place to shop with all the trends of the season and most of the time just too much to look at. It’s exhausting, yet I keep coming back for more. Like an addict, and the fact that they have kids clothing too?! Done, just take my wallet and all my money. I will just eat rice and beans for the rest of my life with my daughter (true story, that’s all she will eat. sigh). But seriously, what I do love about them is that they do have all the trends and must haves for the season. SO if you are up for the shopping challenge and have an idea of what you are looking for they are, to me, the most practical and affordable place to shop for all the seasons trends that you may not be ready to invest in. Trend Alert: 3 Ways Rock The PJ Frock Sorry I have been so MIA lately. With baby, work, the new house and the fact that it is Summer with so much going on and oh so little time, blogging unfortunately took a back burner. But we are back and ready and full of fashion inspo after that much needed pause. Life update: Baby A continues to be a fire cracker with a whole lot of sass and even more personality. I love watching every second of her growth and progress as she went from a baby to a full on toddler over night. Mother hood is becoming a bit easier now that she is a bit more independent but the lack of sleep, pure exhaustion, constant eye twitch and nightly full pour of mama juice stays real. A favorite fellow mom blogger, Cella Jane, put it nicely that Parenthood is simply surviving until the end of the day when you put the kids down just to watch your favorite show for 5 minutes then pass out. 90’s Inspired Trends: Layered Slip Dress As you know, the 90’s are having a serious moment right now, form plaid skirts and high waist jeans to chokers and chunky platform shoes. Like most trends of the past they make their way back around. Some for the best others could do is all a favor and stay forever in history like plucked to death eyebrows. That unfortunately I’m guilty of and never want to relive. Smh. I have to yet to try the layering slip dress trend inspired by the good ol’ 90’s and of course wanted to give it a whirl. I don’t believe I actually ever even wore this look in the 90’s but Im in to it now. I mean, the concept is great, being able to wear a sexy slip dress but toning it down with slim tees or barely there knits underneath makes it so much more versatile. This dress has been given a transitional season makeover in the most comfortable way possible. I’m all about comfort these days.
