Summer Forever

Can summer last forever? Ok, maybe not forever because I do enjoy my seasonal treats and holiday decorating, but this season always seems to go by the fastest while winter lasts F.O.R.E.V.E.R. Seems a little unfair. An additional month added on to summer would be pure bliss. One more month to bask in the sun and sip on your favorite chilled rosé. Maybe we could start a petition? Luckily, LA brings lots of sunshine with almost always perfect temperatures. This usually lasts all year round so it’s the closest I’ll get to summer forever. With that being said, it has still been pretty hot here so as much as I would love to put on some fall inspired clothes like I see all my friends back on the East Coast wearing already it’s just not practical. At least not yet. So for now you can find me in shorts and loose cotton tops to keep me cool through out these fall LA days. How To Wear All White

I embrace an all white outfit all year around. The white on white combo always looks so effortless and chic and it’s a no brainer when coming up with outfits which is a plus in my book. This trend will always be in style from one season to the next and is a great statement outfit. Perfect for events and parties when you want to stand out, but maybe not for a wedding. 😜 Here are 5 helpful tips on how to wear all white outfits. Mix white textures: Always try mixing the textures in your outfit to give your look some depth and character. If you are wearing white silk pants – pair it back to a sweater or jersey material top. I wore these lace shorts with a jersey tank and structured blazer for that extra element. Add in neutrals: Nude and silver accessories are always best to keep the look clean. Je Ne Sais Quoi

I’m a sucker for an easy breezy top that you can throw on and instantly look pulled together. When it’s been as hot and humid as it has been here in DC the summer, the last thing you want is a skin tight shirt that is suctioned on to your body. Oh the dreaded pit stains and back sweat that come along with those tops, a good look for sure. As temperatures finally cool down a bit, it will be time to break out those flowy bell sleeved tops that have been patiently waiting in our closets for their turn to make an appearance. This one has been a favorite of mine because I’m sucker for pretty much anything off the shoulder and the sleeves just give it that “je ne sais quoi”. Paired with white or dark denim and heels and you have a killer casual date night combo.
