Football season has officially started, the seasonal Starbucks lattes are finally back, yellow school buses are making their rounds and brisk, cool nights are here and sticking around. So many traditional signs to let us know that Fall is amongst us and we are loving every minute of it. The early days of fall are always the most fun to dress for. So many transitional pieces to carry from summer to fall to even winter. The minimalist trend is one of our favorites by far. This simplistic, effortless and refined chic look is perfect for the transitioning weather, with fitted silhouettes and light layering pieces. Tights, boots and some killer wrap coats or oversized throws will take you to the next season until all you want to wear are your comfy, go to sweats come February! We wanted to showcase our favorite looks from H&M featuring the minimalist trend for this season. These looks could easily be worn for a date night out and even to the office if you throw on the cardigan. H&M is one of our go to stores to find pieces for our wardrobes when we aren’t sure if we want to splurge on the latest trends. Shop our looks […]

Meet Laura Ritchie, not only our fabulous sorority sister, but also the Founder of Events in the City. She’s the go to girl when you are looking to plan your dream wedding. Laura and her team have crafted a well deserved reputation for throwing some of the best and most creative events all over town because of their style, diverse backgrounds in fashion, film, hotels, catering, project management and their miticulous attention to detail. Laura has seen many guests rock “creative black-tie” like a boss and more than a few wardrobe disasters in their day so we were excited when she agreed to answer a few questions for us. Laura helped us […]

In honor of Mother’s Day we wanted to dedicate this post with a special poem to our beautiful mothers. We are so blessed to have these amazing women in our lives who have made us who we are today. Thank you for the unconditional love and support! To My Dearest Mother © Kirsten Rollander My mother is a special part Of all that’s cherished in my heart, She is my pearl, my soul, my mate; She is the one to make life great. She is an angel without the wings, Who makes life special with the littlest things, Whenever I’m in need of love, She is there from the heavens above; Whenever I’m in need of a shoulder, There’s no one as devoted as my mother. Her presence and love have always been there, Everything in her nature is to only care. With every soft hug and kiss The world seems more beautiful and blessed. I’m sorry for all the times I caused you pain, But after these brief storms my love still remains. I love you so much, I will love you forever- I wrote your name on my heart And it will stay there forever, and ever… Happy Mother’s […]
