CityCenterDC: The Newest Luxury Destination

We are excited to share our experience at CityCenterDC with you guys from the fine dining and cute coffee spots to the many options to exercise your retail therapy at. It’s all conveniently located in one spot, where you can shop outdoors but not walk a mile to get to your next favorite store. CityCenterDC’s location is perfection and providing easy, accessible parking and two of the city’s busiest Metro stations near by, is just icing on the cake. Convenience is king for us, so having multiple options to get to this shopping destination is a huge plus for us. We have been loving all of the luxury stores that have been popping up and have recently been frequenting Burberry, Kate Spade and Longchamp and really looking forward to the opening of Dior and Hermes! Our husbands may not be as excited… We checked out Rare Sweets to satisfy our sugar fix in between shopping and ended the day with a delicious spread at DBDG Kitchen and Bar. An Epic Girls Night At The Gryphon

If you haven’t been yet, you will definitely want to roundup your girls and plan a girls night asap. We are talking about our favorite new spot here in DC, The Gryphon. The atmosphere is luxurious and the decor is inviting and energetic, which sets the stage for an epic girls night out. You can tell the owners really took the time and effort with each detail, from the eye catching signage outside, to the unique mounted griffin head decor. Their raw bar and dry-age steak room is beyond impressive and hands down beats out the neighboring competition which is why we had to spread the word! The Gryphon was top on our list when planning a recent girls night out because of their SUPPER CLUB feel and lively, upbeat environment. The DJ makes his appearance every Friday and Saturday night, which turns the place up a notch and transforms this fine dining restaurant into one of the hottest options for DC night life. 52 Thursday’s #unmiSTKable night

STK is officially open for business right here in our nation’s capital! They are located in the Dupont Circle offering a one-of-a-kind, high-end dining and chic lounge experience. If you are looking for a sexy, sophisticated hotspot with #unmiSTKable food this is the place to be seen. What sets them apart from other traditional steakhouses is their vibe-driven atmosphere with inspired cocktails and DJs spinning nightly to create an energetic, night life vibe through out the entire place. As you can imagine, we were beyond excited to be invited to a private dinner before the official grand opening party on Thursday to taste the menu. We went in with empty stomachs and left full and completely satisfied, anxious for the grand opening! We started with the Tuna Tartar and Foie Gras French Toast. Both were amazing but the Foie Gras French Toast definitely stood out from anything we have ever tried with green apple, almond brioche and sherry gastrique. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction – so of course we both ordered the filet. I choose the béarnaise sauce which was the perfect combination and added even more flavor to the perfect steak.
