A Night At The Arlington County Fair

Funnel cakes, cotton candy and sugary lemonade are just a few reasons why we look forward to the county fair each year. It’s a time where we can throw our inhibitions out the window and indulge in all of the gluttony surrounding us.  Living in walking distance of the Arlington County Fair makes it almost a cardinal sin not to visit the local staple on an annual basis.

We started off with a fresh squeezed lemonade from the vintage-esque stand, it gave us just the sugar rush we were looking for and we were off to test the rides and games.  We battled it out at the water game but Michelle walked away the winner toting a scary looking furry stuffed  animal (which made Sarah feel better about losing). We rode the ferris wheel and even were brave enough to take a turn on the Rainbow ride which almost made us lose our lemonade (I swear it’s way scarier than it looks).  After our stomachs settled and we devoured half a dozen fried oreos (Y.O.L.O), we called it a night and walked a few blocks home where we relaxed on the porch with a tall glass of V.I.N.O. Thanks for having us Arlington County Fair, until next year!

xoxo
