It’s The Thought That Counts – Cuyana It’s always better to give rather than receive. It just feels good to give a great well-thought-out gift to someone you care about. Seeing their face light up when they open it, is just the icing on the cake. So instead of giving a bunch of useless gifts that mean nothing, we always try to take the time to really think about the holiday gifts that we give to our loved ones. What do they really need or what would they love to have that they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves? A cashmere sweater or monogrammed bag? You can’t go wrong with giving something classic that won’t go out of style after one season. Cuyana has been a go-to gift-buying destination for us because their products hold up, we know from experience! Their pieces are extremely well made and constructed from the high-quality materials, so you can rest assure that even the pickiest person on your list will be impressed. Most all of their leather goods can be monogrammed, which gives your gift a personalized touch! There are so many great gifts to choose from on the Cuyana site but we have narrowed it down […]

The Wildest Street Style Of Paris Fashion Week SS18 Attending Paris Fashion Week has always been on my bucket list. The runway shows, the street style, the magical Parisian nights and the baguettes always looked so dreamy as I watched from others perspectives. Attending myself always seemed like a far fetched dream. But somehow, the stars were in perfect alignment when my husband brought up the idea of celebrating our anniversary in Paris this year (which also happened to be during Paris Fashion Week). So of course, I did all I could to work my connections to attend anything and everything Paris Fashion Week. After getting multiple rejection emails from some of the big brands (it was worth a shot!), I focused my efforts on up and coming designers. I had a little luck getting my intern Ashley (she is studying abroad in Paris this semester) and I into some smaller shows and events which we were super grateful to attend. We saw some pretty interesting things on and off the runway during the two days that we took on Paris Fashion Week. But my favorite of all was what we spotted outside of the Rick Owens show, OMG the people […]

Bonjour from Paris! Today marks our second day in Paris and my husband and I’s 4th anniversary! After a day of complete jetlag yesterday, we started our day bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to see all the things. We started out by exploring Le Musée du Louvre (which was amazing), then we headed down Champs Elyesse for shopping, macaroons, and pastries at Ladureé. I knew it was a must-see because I first visited Ladureé in Georgetown a few weeks ago when I was shooting the Calvin Klein campaign with Emma (as seen in this post). The macaroons were unlike any I had ever tried and the ambiance was beyond perfect. So I dragged my husband in Ladureé and told him to trust me and that he wouldn’t be disappointed. I think he was scared by all the pastels and pretty packaging but he was absolutely blown away by the macaroons. Score! After we filled up on macaroons, we headed for Saint Germain to find a spot for lunch and people watching. We found a cute little café (with a nice street view), called Les Deux Magot, for some rosé and a croque monsieur. This little neighborhood has to be […]

I am so excited to be partnering up with Alexandria, VA boutique and design house, TSALT, to host their Fall Open House this Thursday from 6-9pm. Come out and enjoy light bites and sips while you shop their new fall merchandise! I styled four looks, that will be on display during the party, with some of my favorite fall pieces from TSALT. I fell in love with everything in the store, so it was hard to narrow it down to only four outfits, and I’m not even including the looks featured in this post! But what makes TSALT so unique is that they not only have one of the best selections in town (and for every budget), but they also design custom pieces right inside their store! Being a fashion graduate myself, I was drawn to TSALT because they are creating beautiful, one of a kind pieces at affordable price points just upstairs. Which also means they can alter and custom design anything to fit their clients perfectly. So if you struggle to find clothing that actually fits or you just need to update your fall wardrobe you have to come check out TSALT! Come on in and let me help […]
