Bellbottoms, bell sleeves, round glasses and deep v’s have been all the rage for a few seasons, so why stop the retro vibes now? I have been all about the 60s and 70s pieces lately and I am not ready to give them up just yet. Not only because I love the trends but because many of them are super flattering. Extra long bell bottom jeans give your legs a few extra inches of height to help fool people into thinking you are much taller and thinner than you really are. With my 5’6 athletic frame, I am all about tricking people into thinking I’m 5’10. No shame. I also got a bit creative with this outfit and pulled out a piece from my swimsuit collection to through into the mix. This is one of my all time favorite one-piece swimsuits and I thought it would be perfect paired with high-waisted bell bottoms because of the lace-up detail and chevron pattern. Then I threw on a white blazer over top to polish the look and I am retro ready! Ready to get retro yourself? I have linked to some of my favorite retro pieces below. So be sure to scroll all the way […]

Good coffee, an oversized bag and comfy pair of tennies create the perfect weekend trio when running around the city on the weekends. Throw everything you need in your larger than life bag and hit the road running. If your weekends are anything like mine, AKA busy as hell, then you need to have a bag that you can stow all your necessities for the day. I’m talking phone, wallet, hair brush, protein bars, water bottle, and even an umbrella just incase we encounter those unsuspecting spring showers. Luckily my new Henri Bendel bag fits everything I need to get me from the brunch with my friends to running errands with ease. Just add a cute striped top and a coffee from La Columbe and you have a perfect Sunday in the city! Wearing: Top (Zara sold out similar here), Jeans (Joe’s Jeans via Coco Blanca), Necklace (Forever 21), Rings (Kendra Scott), Tennis Shoes (ADIDAS – Stan Smith), Sunglasses (Rayban), and Bag (Henri Bendel).

The 70s are back, and better than ever, in the form of flare jeans! Not only are they on trend, but this style does amazing things for your legs. The fitted thigh and wide bottom silhouette will have your legs looking thinner, instantly…no workout required! We styled our favorite flares from South Moon Under with a blousey top with a thick, braided belt. The color of the top is perfect for Fall, but breezy enough to withstand DC’s favorable fall temperatures. Paired with our latest obsession, the saddlebag, this look captures every great aspect of the 70s trend. Your favorite flashback can now be your everyday, so get these in your wardrobe now! Sarah is wearing: Top (Forever 21 sold out similar here), Jeans (Blank NY c/o South Moon Under – 20% off today!), Sandals (Nasty Gal), Belt (Forever 21), Necklace (Forever 21), Bag (Chloe via Bag Borrow or Steal), Sunglasses (Rayban). More options on how to wear the 70’s Flare Trend below: xo Sarah
