Bonjour from Paris! Today marks our second day in Paris and my husband and I’s 4th anniversary! After a day of complete jetlag yesterday, we started our day bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to see all the things. We started out by exploring Le Musée du Louvre (which was amazing), then we headed down Champs Elyesse for shopping, macaroons, and pastries at Ladureé. I knew it was a must-see because I first visited Ladureé in Georgetown a few weeks ago when I was shooting the Calvin Klein campaign with Emma (as seen in this post). The macaroons were unlike any I had ever tried and the ambiance was beyond perfect. So I dragged my husband in Ladureé and told him to trust me and that he wouldn’t be disappointed. I think he was scared by all the pastels and pretty packaging but he was absolutely blown away by the macaroons. Score! After we filled up on macaroons, we headed for Saint Germain to find a spot for lunch and people watching. DC got hit with yet another winter storm. Several inches of fluffy white snow covered our streets leaving most DC area residents stranded at home. We felt it appropriate to feature this week’s Spring trend on the white out look, which DC decided to take to a whole other level! The Spring 2014 runways were dominated by white; models were dressed head to toe in all shades of white creating an effortless, powerful yet feminine and goddess feel. Jason Wu Runway J. Top Shelf and Bottom of The Barrel at The Oscars

Clap…clap…clap…well done ladies and gents. We were very pleased with most red carpet looks that we saw tonight, however this made it easy to spot the not so “Top Shelf” ensembles that made their way into the Oscars. We also have to hand it to Ellen for ordering pizza for the audience, taking the most retweeted #selfie ever and for wearing a fairy god mother costume. We would say she pretty much nailed it. Top Shelf Lupita Nyongo killed it again in #NairobiBlue (yes she made up a new color) Prada gown with simple but stunning headband and ear candy. Cate Blanchett won the best Actress Award in this stunning Armani gown Naomi Watts wore Calvin Klein with an edgy statement necklace by Bulgari. We also love the easy hair she is sporting. Charlize Theron stunned in a black Haute Couture number by Dior with illusion straps and stand out statement necklace. Kate Hudson was wearing a gorgeous gown by Atelier Versace and with a stunning plunging neckline and Neil Lane jewels. Bottom Of the Barrel Pharrell was in a shorts suit.. We are just stunned that he didn’t wear that hat on the Red Carpet..but don’t worry he threw it on for his performance. […]
