Sharing our love for this city plus a baby and mommy 11 month update. It’s hard to believe that we have been in LA for over 3 years now. When we found out we were pregnant, the question we were constantly asked was “Are you planning on moving back home?”. We never toyed with the idea because we were both on a career path that we wanted to continue to pursue here. Now don’t get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to be surrounded with our immediate family and share the incredible development and experiences of sweet baby Adaline with them. We are doing our best as a new family of 3 to keep working hard and loving hard in the city we both share the same love for and know baby girl will someday too. We love LA for too many reasons. Yes, the weather is gorgeous and the views are insane but it’s the impactful, memorable moments of witnessing, exploring and sharing all of these memories together with my little family. There is so much to do here from hiking to beaching to eating and shopping. I could go on but you get the idea, our weekends […]

We partnered up with South Moon Under, one of our favorite local shops back home in DC, to share with you our favorite hang out spots in our home towns. We love South Moon Under for one simple reason: it’s your one stop spot to shop. No matter what the occasion you are dressing for, they really do have it all. Enough to dress me all over Los Angeles while I show you where I spend most of my leisure time! Now I could share with you some of Los Angeles’s hottest tourist spots, but that would be too easy and you’re probably already aware of them. I want to introduce you to the places that may not always be on the maps but definitely a must stop while you are in the area and of course suggestions on how to dress for the visit. Venice is one of my favorite weekend hang outs for the simple reason that there is so much to do. They have the cutest restaurants, coffee shops, stores and of course there’s the beach. Similar to South Moon Under, there is no need to go anywhere else. My favorite kiosk coffee shop located right at the beginning of Abbot Kinney is […]

It has been exactly one year since my husband and I decided to take a chance on moving to LA. It wasn’t an easy move but we are so thankful that we did. LA has brought so many new opportunities for us with new explorations and adventures to take on. Never a dull moment in “The City of Angels”. I will forever be a tourist here in LA. Last Friday we received an exiting email, one we had been waiting for almost months. We finally got tickets to the Rain Room at LACMA! Who knew checking out an art exhibition would be so difficult. Nonetheless, we were thrilled to finally go and made a day out of it by exploring all that LACMA had to offer. From the infamous Rain Room and Urban Light to original artwork from Andy Warhol and Picasso … we saw it all. If you live in LA or ever plan to make a trip out this way, I strongly encourage you to check out Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Rain Room: This instillation will only be around until March 6th. What makes this room so incredible is the continuous falling water that pauses wherever a human body is […]
