We just finished a 3 day juice cleanse at South Block Juice bar which has really helped me reevaluate what I eat and drink. That’s what I love about juicing, it helps break the cycle of dependence on saturated fats, refined carbohydrates, processed foods, and excess caffeine and alcohol. It truly has helped ease my food decision making while reducing my appetite which is why I wanted to share with you guys an easy, healthy and very delicious meal that I have been obsessed with since completing my juice cleanse. We call it…Fresh Sesame Tuna Salad! This is one of my favorite dishes that my husband and I came up with because it’s light and refreshing for warmer temperatures and will help you build and maintain that beach bod we are forever striving for. Sigh. Oh, and it also helps improve your skin and hair. Bonus points!) I believe that we came up with […]

I am always trying to come up with a quick and easy dish that is satisfying yet healthy and I think I finally came up with something worth sharing. This dish is healthy, full of fiber, vegan, non-dairy and gluten free so it’s great for those with even the most restrictive diets. You can serve this alone or paired with a salmon filet or a protein of your choice. I think the man in your life may even approve of this dish and hopefully not just for its superstitious game day quality (if you don’t know what I am talking about watch this video). I hope you enjoy this warm salad as much as I have! What you will need: 1 cup uncooked of quinoa 2 large handfuls of uncooked spinach 1 clove of garlic 1/2 onion 2 scallions 1 cup of grape tomatoes halved A bit of diced jalapeno (if you like a little kick) 1 teaspoon of soy sauce 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley Olive Oil Salt and Pepper to taste How To: Combine 1 cup of uncooked quinoa that has been rinsed and strained, 2 […]
