These Bags Are Not Designer … the real mom life. I have to be honest, I have never been too in to self care, health and wellness until lil’ miss Adaline came about. Grey hair, baggy eyes, dark circles and dried skin have never really been a concern until welllllll … love you baby A, but right about the time she arrived. Working a full time job while still coming home and taking care of her for 4-6 hours each week day has brought about more dark circles and fine lines than I could ever imagine. Im not sure what sleeping in till 6am is like. Who knows if I ever will see that again. Maybe when she’s a teen? Only one can hope. All I know is that my baggy eyes don’t lie, and girl … these bags sure as hell are not designer. “MOMLIFE” is stamped on my forhead for all to be seen, and it’s time to take action. New Mom’s Appreciation: Mother’s Day

A new mom’s appreciation this Mother’s Day. As a new mom, I have a whole new appreciation for Mother’s Day. It was a day to send flowers and a sweet note to my mom reminding her how much I love and appreciate her but I don’t think I grasped how much my mom has done and given up in order to put me first. But this mother’s day will be different … forever. Since Adaline entered the world exactly 2 weeks ago, my life has been turned upside down, for the best, but nonetheless upside down. Restless nights, baby brain to the max, a very messy home, loads of laundry, lots of dirty diapers and a whole lot of pumping and feeding. The week before I gave birth, my mom and I were out and about, shopping and dining out as much as we could to pass the time while we waited for baby girl’s past due date arrival. And just like that, this sweet little girl entered my life and my perspective on life and what’s important has completely reorganized.
