Horses have always been a big part of my life. I grew up on a small horse farm in Warrenton, Va where I was fortunate enough to learn to ride at a very young age. I think as soon as I was walking, I was on a pony. As soon as I was capable, I was helping with the barn chores and taking care of the horses. After school I would go for a ride; weekends were filled with horse shows and Summer’s full of pony camps. I have so many fond memories growing up around horses and a few painful ones too. Like the time I broke my arm after being bucked off my pony named Tony, or the time Sadie threw me into a fence. There were many many spills, feet stomped on, bitten arms but I know those unfond memories only made me stronger. I always had to get right back on after my falls and face my fear. Having horses taught me so much growing up, responsibility, a strong work ethic, competitiveness, how to be a part of a team, how to work with animals and how to be friends with them too. . My last […]

Ever have that realization right as you’re about to walk out the door that you’re going to need to bring a purse along with you but you really just don’t want to? Of course we love toting our purses and bags around most of the time but there are times we do wish we could go bag free. There’s nothing worse than having the perfect look and then ruining it because you need to add a bag for functionality. Don’t worry, though, because we’ve rounded up our favorite functional fashion items…no purse required! The number one priority when it comes to keeping it all together is your phone. This brass knuckle case is the best way to hold onto it securely while still looking badass. There’s nothing better than throwing on a dress and needing absolutely nothing else. These shift dresses are perfect for an on-the-go gal, complete with pockets for all of your necessities. What’s the deal with all of these new jeans without real pockets? I mean, what’s the point if they don’t lead anywhere, right? These Seafarer jeans and Gap jogger pants are totally on trend and have the real deal when it comes to pockets! For […]

Crop tops are not going out of style anytime soon. They re-emerged in 2011 and have yet to fade out as we see them making their way down the runways of Fall 2015 and I’m sure we will see them again very soon in Spring 2016. Crop tops have proven to be a staple item. The next time you’re editing your closet, consider holding onto your crop top(s) as history has proven that they’ll come back around. They have made their rounds throughout fashion in various forms – from collared, short sleeve styles in the 1940’s to cut off sweat shirts and tees of the 80’s aerobics era. When you think of a crop top, you think “all out” (abs, belly button and all). Well, this is what I love about the selection of today’s crop tops, we can get creative and put our own personal style in today’s options. Whether it’s a high waisted fitted skirt for a curvy night out or style it with a pair of cut off shorts for a relaxed, good-vibes feel. Below I paired a Free People’s crop top from South Moon Under with my go to Enza Costa high rise, wide leg crepe pant for more of a flowy, day to night look. […]
