Walk Your Walk Fashion Week is an iconic time of the year for me. Amidst the hell season called midterms, the fashion gods have gifted me with stunning Fall 2017 collections created by my favorite designers. Bloggers, such as Aimee Song (my all-time favorite blogger) and A-List celebrities walk (Kylie Jenner and the Hadid sisters) and watch these shows to show appreciation for the geniuses behind the pieces they will all be wearing this fall. Today, I’m here to talk about some of my favorite pieces from this season’s Fashion Week in NYC and Paris. Fendi: Red Is the New Black Red is one of those colors I think encompasses everything I want to be: classy, bold, and stunning. I only wish I could work it. Red just isn’t a complimenting color for me, but I can still stare and drool at Fendi’s uh-maaaazing red pieces, right? Just look at how the shapeless sweater just works with those skin-tight, thigh-high leather tights. And don’t even get me started on how the semi-sheer dress just flows. Alexander Wang: Keeping Black, Black Alexander Wang is one of my favorite designers. He loves black just as much as I do. No one would […]

The Bomb…. Today, instead of talking politics and giving you my two cents on this election and the candidate I voted for, I am talking fashion. Which might seem trivial at a time like this but maybe we need to get back to the things we enjoy and stop focusing on hate and the things we can’t change. So here is a little happy distraction from your news feed full of political rants. It’s official, I am bomber obsessed. Since it is FINALLY jacket season here in DC, it seemed appropriate to add one of these cool bombers into my jacket rotation and I have been wearing it non-stop since it arrived on my doorstep. You probably haven’t scrolled through a fashion magazine or blog without seeing a plethora of drool-worthy bombers and I get it. I’m not usually the first to jump on trends because when I buy something, I want it to last at least 2 seasons. And the bomber is something that I think will be sticking around for a little while. I love how this throwback military style has been revamped into the hottest outerwear trend of the season. I have been wearing mine over everything from […]

I’m a sucker for an easy breezy top that you can throw on and instantly look pulled together. When it’s been as hot and humid as it has been here in DC the summer, the last thing you want is a skin tight shirt that is suctioned on to your body. Oh the dreaded pit stains and back sweat that come along with those tops, a good look for sure. As temperatures finally cool down a bit, it will be time to break out those flowy bell sleeved tops that have been patiently waiting in our closets for their turn to make an appearance. This one has been a favorite of mine because I’m sucker for pretty much anything off the shoulder and the sleeves just give it that “je ne sais quoi”. Paired with white or dark denim and heels and you have a killer casual date night combo. Stay cool my friends and shop my easy breezy look below: Sarah is wearing: Top (c/o She Inside $20.99), Jeans (Nordstrom $38.99), Heels (Zara similar here), Watch (c/o Verizon), Bracelets (c/o Troll Beads), Sunglasses (Urban Outfitters). Even though the weather has warmed up, it doesn’t mean you have to pack away all of your most loved leather pieces! I am a huge fan of styling leather and I try to incorporate it into my wardrobe, regardless of the season. Style your favorite pair of leather leggings with a muscle tee or a soft plaid top (like the Rails shirt I am wearing in these photos, so worth the investment!) and a pair of flat or heeled sandals and you have an edgy springtime look. When wearing a leather bottom, I usually carry my denim jacket so that I have something to throw on when it cools down at night. These J.Mendel leather pants have been a favorite of mine since I found them on sale at Ella Rue last fall and I haven’t been able to take them off since! I also have a super thin buttery-leather jacket from Vince that I wear religiously in the spring as […]
