My name is Michelle, and I’m a sucker for Zara . . . Yes, it’s true. I have a problem like most of us do. I’m addicted to Zara. Though to me it can be quite an overwhelming place to shop with all the trends of the season and most of the time just too much to look at. It’s exhausting, yet I keep coming back for more. Like an addict, and the fact that they have kids clothing too?! Done, just take my wallet and all my money. I will just eat rice and beans for the rest of my life with my daughter (true story, that’s all she will eat. sigh). But seriously, what I do love about them is that they do have all the trends and must haves for the season. SO if you are up for the shopping challenge and have an idea of what you are looking for they are, to me, the most practical and affordable place to shop for all the seasons trends that you may not be ready to invest in. Collection Perfection: URBANE

The latest collection made to perfection … URBANE. As you know, we love our hair. We love to maintain it and keep up with the latest trends. But sometimes those trends are just too far fetch for our lifestyle. Less is more and that is exactly what you get with Sassoon Salon’s latest SS17 collection that just launched, URBANE. Architecture is used as their key inspiration, believing the most memorable designs are distinct and true to form. Etienne Taenaka, Midwest Regional Salon Director explains the latest collection the best by saying There is beauty in purity. Just as a building has formal structural elements, so does great hair design. Hair Love Affair

I’m having a hair love affair. With Valentine’s Day around the corner it felt only fitting to share my hair love affair with Sassoon Salon. I have spoken of my favorite salon in the past and touched on the trends and styles of the season, but I wanted to focus on the people that make it all happen. We all know I have a lot of hair, especially my stylist and colorist who work so hands on with it. And if you know me well, you know I’m weird about my hair. I don’t trust just anyone to manage my hair, from the color to the cut, our hair is a part of us and a large representation of our image. Which is why I value my relationship so much with my team at Sasssoon Salon. I believe that your hairstylist is someone you want to have a great relationship with. Similar to a significant other or a spouse, your stylist is one you need to trust and openly share your thoughts and concerns with. But about your hair of course! The hot and humid Summer weather has officially made its presence here in the DC area. Don’t get us wrong, we love the warmer weathers but it can be brutal and uncomfortable if your wardrobe and makeup bags aren’t prepared for it. We wanted to share our top 7 (5 + 2) Summer Essentials to help you get through the Summer in style. 1. Mirrored Sunnies: With a cool reflection, mirrored sunnies make for the perfect shades this summer. That and they are great for taking selfies! We are loving Illesteva, specifically this tortouise style with blue contrast mirrored frames which creates the perfect POC to any outfit. 2.
