We partnered up with South Moon Under, one of our favorite local shops back home in DC, to share with you our favorite hang out spots in our home towns. We love South Moon Under for one simple reason: it’s your one stop spot to shop. No matter what the occasion you are dressing for, they really do have it all. Enough to dress me all over Los Angeles while I show you where I spend most of my leisure time! Now I could share with you some of Los Angeles’s hottest tourist spots, but that would be too easy and you’re probably already aware of them. I want to introduce you to the places that may not always be on the maps but definitely a must stop while you are in the area and of course suggestions on how to dress for the visit. Venice is one of my favorite weekend hang outs for the simple reason that there is so much to do. They have the cutest restaurants, coffee shops, stores and of course there’s the beach. Muscle Beach Workout

I won’t say that I have broken my daily work out routine just yet. I am human. Let’s just go ahead and say that I get creative on finding new ways to stay fit outside of the typical gym and classes as much as I can. If I lived by the beach you would probably be able to find me there daily getting my work out on …. from running along the shore to inline skating on the board walk. There are so many activities to inspire a work out with such a view. My new favorite work out has been inline skating with my new Rollerblades. It has brought back so many fun, childhood memories of pretending I was a professional figure skater with grace and elegance as I twirled my way around the neighborhood courtyards. The best thing about inline skating along the beach is that you don’t even realize you are getting a work out in until the muscles start burning the next day. That’s my favorite kind of work out. Forget Diamonds – Wine is a Girl’s Best Friend

As you may know, we love our wine. The concept for our blog initially began over a glass of wine and still to this day some of our best ideas come about while sipping on a glass of vino. Now that we live on opposite coasts, our wine nights have become less frequent than we would like so when we are able to see each other, vino always seems to be part of the equation. On Sarah’s last trip to LA, we planned a day to head to the beach, turn off our phones, relax, enjoy some good wine and just catch up on life. Unfortunately most of our conversations lately have been blog related, so actually being able to have some girl time with each other was refreshing and something we both needed. We had both heard amazing things about a new wine club called Club W, so we thought our beach picnic would be a great time to try it out. We were able to select wines based on the palate profile quiz we took on their site and boom, two days later we had wine delivered to Michelle’s doorstep in West Hollywood. Best part […]
