Summer Forever

Can summer last forever? Ok, maybe not forever because I do enjoy my seasonal treats and holiday decorating, but this season always seems to go by the fastest while winter lasts F.O.R.E.V.E.R. Seems a little unfair. An additional month added on to summer would be pure bliss. One more month to bask in the sun and sip on your favorite chilled rosé. Maybe we could start a petition? Luckily, LA brings lots of sunshine with almost always perfect temperatures. This usually lasts all year round so it’s the closest I’ll get to summer forever. With that being said, it has still been pretty hot here so as much as I would love to put on some fall inspired clothes like I see all my friends back on the East Coast wearing already it’s just not practical. At least not yet. So for now you can find me in shorts and loose cotton tops to keep me cool through out these fall LA days. Muscle Beach Workout

I won’t say that I have broken my daily work out routine just yet. I am human. Let’s just go ahead and say that I get creative on finding new ways to stay fit outside of the typical gym and classes as much as I can. If I lived by the beach you would probably be able to find me there daily getting my work out on …. from running along the shore to inline skating on the board walk. There are so many activities to inspire a work out with such a view. My new favorite work out has been inline skating with my new Rollerblades. It has brought back so many fun, childhood memories of pretending I was a professional figure skater with grace and elegance as I twirled my way around the neighborhood courtyards. The best thing about inline skating along the beach is that you don’t even realize you are getting a work out in until the muscles start burning the next day. That’s my favorite kind of work out. The Denim Dress

The denim dress, it’s all the rage this summer and I finally know why. A denim dress is so versatile, it can be worn with sandals, boots, or heels, your options are endless. Because of its simplicity, there are so many ways to accessorize your look depending on your style and mood. So I now I know why everyone has a denim dress dress on. When I saw this Stella McCartney denim dress on sale right before the 4th of July weekend, I knew it was meant to be and I had to have it. The wash and fit are perfection. I was headed to a BBQ in Venice so I kept it simple and wore red flats to be patriotic and got inspired by the lovely Amber Fillerup Clark to try out the bubble ponytail. Talk about hair envy, she’s my go to girl when I want to learn a new hairdo or at least attempt one. Shop my favorite denim styles below.
