A trend I’m loving for pre-fall/fall 2016 are all the Military inspired styles. But not just the usual army fatigues that we usually see this time of year. Designers were inspired by a different branch in the military this season … the Navy. From pea-coats to sailor pants, with rich navy colors and heavy duty fabrics with iron on patchwork. I’m really excited about the new take on this trend, giving a little love to all branches of the military. Now of course temperatures are still quite high and I’m holding off on truly representing the Navy trend as of now. So for now, this is my interpretation of this fall trend … This jumpsuit combo I found from VIPme was inspired by the looks I saw coming down the runway. I love the cropped, full leg with button details paired back to this sleeveless turtleneck. Perfect buy now where now for fall and can easily transition in to the colder weather with a leather jacket thrown over the shoulders. I added a handkerchief for some extra detail and kept with the all Navy look with just a pop of red to be patriotic. 🇺🇸 Wearing- Jumpsuit (VIPme); Bandana (Manipuri); Shoes (Sergio Rossi– similar style […]

One of the things I love most about blogging is having the opportunity or should I say an excuse to have an alter ego. To dress like you live another life, whether that may be a jet setter, a bohemian princess, a beach bunny or even a city slicker. We all have a particular taste in clothes and styling that makes us who we are and defines our character, but the occasional change of pace is sometimes necessary. To be spotted in something new and different keeps people on their toes. I don’t dress up normally. In fact, I wear sneakers every minute of the day or at least whenever possible that is. It’s realistic in my life and for my job. I’m always on my feet running around and always on the go. It’s hard to sit still, so wearing clothes and shoes that match that lifestyle just makes sense. So times like these when I can put on a fun printed skirt, shiny heels and pretend like I’m a character on Sex & The City makes me pretty damn happy. I found this skirt at VIPME and got so excited. The polka dot print, vibrant color and full body had me […]

Pink has never really been my go to color, in fact I usually try to avoid it at all costs. But after realizing that 99% of the dresses hanging in my closet were black, I thought I should probably branch out and add some color to my wardrobe. With wedding season in full effect and since I am attending 8 of them this summer/fall, I have been stocking up on dresses that I can wear to rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies and all other wedding related events. After showing up to a wedding earlier this year wearing the same dress as another attendee, I decided that maybe I needed to expand my search and dive a bit deeper into the inter-webs for dresses that I would be sure I wouldn’t be “twinning” in. This dress caught my eye when I was browsing online because of the the way the fabric draped on the model and how free flowing it was. I love a dress that moves with you and comes to life on the dance floor because when JT’s new hit comes on, you best believe I will be breaking out the dance moves! It is light and airy which is perfect for those end […]
