Modern Western Theme Nursery

I’m not sure why this nursery took so long to come together. You would think being quarantined and jobless I would have nothing but time, but having a vision and only being able to purchase/ order online was a little more challenging than I had expected. Plus, this room acts as our guest room as well as the home to our Peloton (small quarters here in LA) so there were a lot of things to consider. My husband and I butt heads on a lot of the details of this room but at least we both agreed on the theme. We wanted to go with a subtle western theme with mixed woods and pops of greenery. I didn’t want a theme too loud and offensive to any guest that may be staying in there and felt like we achieved the look we were going for. The photos above his crib was the first purchase and it took a while to find the right look (Thank goodness for Etsy!) We sent the print offs to Framebridge who matted and framed them for us and shipped back ready to hang. We started building around these colors and it all slowly came together! […]

Hospital Bag: What to Pack

I can’t believe that I am 38 weeks pregnant and just now finalizing my hospital bag as well as sharing the deets with you. Let’s make this quick, because who knows how much time I may have! I will say the one thing I did learn from the first go around is that you really don’t need a lot. The hospital supplies you with pretty much everything for both you and babe other than the clothes you two will be going home in. SO know these are items to make you feel more at ease in a situation that may feel a little out of the norm. Especially with our dear friend COVID still hanging around. Big Sister In Training: Room Update

It’s official, we have a big sister in training. I knew this day would come, the big girl room transition, I just didn’t think it would all happen so fast. Especially looking back at her nursery reveal post, it feels like just yesterday. Less than two months ago, my little doll baby was sleeping in a crib and wearing diapers like a baby. Today she’s in her very own big girl bed, with big girl sheets and pillows and wearing big girl underwear. She’s even too big for naps now (which was not my choice …). I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive to begin the transition but with baby boy on the way, it gave me a little push to start nesting all around and settle in to the new norm. To my surprise, she took to it all so well! In fact, she was so excited to go to bed that night to sleep in her big girl bed, it may have been a record breaking “night time routine”. FUN & EASY BABY SHOWER GIFT

A good friend of mine calls her expecting baby her “sushi baby.” I only felt it appropriate to make her a sushi platter since she can’t eat it! It is so easy, personal and fun to do. What you will need.. Pack of 4 Onsies 4 pairs of socks- I used 2 pairs of “Happy Socks”- Which I wear and love!! (adult size) and 2 pairs of Converse Socks- so cute 🙂 Fun color burp towels pair of chopsticks FUN RIBBON Fish Toy! Fold the Onsie and wrap the socks/towles to create a roll! Grab some black material to create some “sea weed”- then Pin it Place it on a platter, throw some fake grass and BOOM… Pick some cute ribbon for finishing touches HAPPY BABY SHOWER!!!! xoxo Michelle
