10 Things To Do Before Baby Arrives … It’s hard to believe this pregnancy journey that I have embarked upon will soon come to an end and I will be known as “mommy” to a sweet baby girl in less than two months. I have gone through the stages of every panic mode while trying to get the nursery in order, buying all the necessities, and organizing my own life to ensure I can take care of another! It’s a whole lot on one’s plate. As the countdown continues, and the months dwindle down to what feels like just a few weeks, I’ve begun to slow down and realize I need to appreciate a few things before I begin this next chapter in life. It’s a life changing chapter. One that I’m super fricken scared to start yet at that the same time have never been more excited to adventure upon. There are a million things one can do before baby arrives, other than eating sushi, drinking wine and riding roller coasters, and maybe a few more 😜 but I decided to narrow it down to 10. I’m sharing my personal top 10 things to do before baby arrives in April. I would love to hear your thoughts […]

Hello Third Trimester! I’m in the final stretch, the trimester that ends with meeting my baby girl! I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am to meet her, to hold her in my arms and kiss her tiny little nose. This journey has been an adventure to say the least. I have had plenty of highs and of course some lows which I wanted to share with you. Now of course my lows aren’t anything really to complain about because there is nothing I wouldn’t do for this little girl, but everyone has got them, right? I just recently had my baby shower back home in DC, and the question I was asked more than I could count was “How are you feeling?”. My reply to all was that I couldn’t complain. I don’t always feel great, that’s for sure but it’s hard to complain when you know what it’s worth. That and boy have I heard some terrible pregnancy stories. Friends that couldn’t keep a meal down their entire pregnancy or those dealing with preeclampsia, swollen ankles, diabetes, bleeding gums, the list goes on. This week I go in for my glucose screening to check for diabetes, but knock […]

Pink or Blue? It’s a Gender Reveal! Pink or blue? Boy or girl? No matter the gender I’m happy to celebrate a little life that is blossoming this Spring! My hubby surprised me with these pink and blue flowers before we found out the sex. He says he got them for me as a fun way to start the celebration. I believe it was due to the fact that I have been a wee bit hormonal and unfortunately he get’s the wrath of my occasional mood swings. The world will never know, but nonetheless they made for a great prop for this post, so props to Phil. Now that we finally know the gender, I’m excited to begin planning the nursery. It’s something I’ve always thought about once Pinterest was developed. I actually always envisioned an all white nursery, with a shaggy rug and chandelier but the more surreal this has all become, I know it’s definitely not realistic. I actually have no clue which direction we want to go in. So for now I’ll just keep […]
