I have and always will be a brunch girl. No diet or fitness goal I am trying to reach will change that. The weekend rolls around and there is just something that feels so right about indulging in delicious brunch foods while sipping on a mimosa or two! It’s what weekends were made for, am I right? I may be logging all my food and watching what I eat on the #52DayShred but that doesn’t mean that I have to give up my brunches, NO WAY! There is a way to throw a bangin’ brunch for your friends and eat it too, even when you are tracking your macros. You might have to be a bit more strategic with your numbers the rest of the day but I am telling you, you will have room for most, if not all of these dishes! If you aren’t tracking your macros and frankly have no clue what they are ( you can read about them here), no sweat, you can still make this killer brunch and eat like a champ! Find my macro friendly brunch recipes below and ideas on how to style your spread when your besties come over. We promise […]

If you haven’t been yet, you will definitely want to roundup your girls and plan a girls night asap. We are talking about our favorite new spot here in DC, The Gryphon. The atmosphere is luxurious and the decor is inviting and energetic, which sets the stage for an epic girls night out. You can tell the owners really took the time and effort with each detail, from the eye catching signage outside, to the unique mounted griffin head decor. Their raw bar and dry-age steak room is beyond impressive and hands down beats out the neighboring competition which is why we had to spread the word! The Gryphon was top on our list when planning a recent girls night out because of their SUPPER CLUB feel and lively, upbeat environment. The DJ makes his appearance every Friday and Saturday night, which turns the place up a notch and transforms this fine dining restaurant into one of the hottest options for DC night life. After 12am the restaurant becomes more of a lounge with bottle service and dancing. So if you can hang past midnight, then they are there to keep the party going for you. They easily accommodate to private […]

Quick & Easy Breakfast Ideas I love shopping at Trader Joe’s because what they offer is always easy to cook and inspirational! I wanted to share two of my favorite breakfast dishes that require just a few ingredients and very easy to make. Perfect for hosting brunch and very presentable. I found everything at Trader Joe’s but you can easily pick up these items at any local food market around your area. My favorite that will win the heart of any meat lover is poached egg on top of pulled pork and corn bread. The surprisingly delightful combination of hot pulled pork and freshly baked corn bread, topped with a poached egg will have you wanting seconds, I promise! POACHED EGG ON TOP OF PULLED PORK AND CORNBREAD As you can see below I just purchased a box of Corn bread mix (requires Oil and water) along with already cooked pulled pork and of course eggs. The preparation as far as if you want to make pulled pork and home-made bread is up to you. But the combination of the three is what I am sharing! Trust me, you don’t have to be from the South to appreciate this! CARAMELIZED […]
