Trend Alert: 3 Ways Rock The PJ Frock Sorry I have been so MIA lately. With baby, work, the new house and the fact that it is Summer with so much going on and oh so little time, blogging unfortunately took a back burner. But we are back and ready and full of fashion inspo after that much needed pause. Life update: Baby A continues to be a fire cracker with a whole lot of sass and even more personality. I love watching every second of her growth and progress as she went from a baby to a full on toddler over night. Mother hood is becoming a bit easier now that she is a bit more independent but the lack of sleep, pure exhaustion, constant eye twitch and nightly full pour of mama juice stays real. A favorite fellow mom blogger, Cella Jane, put it nicely that Parenthood is simply surviving until the end of the day when you put the kids down just to watch your favorite show for 5 minutes then pass out. So true. By the end of the day, I love nothing more than to put on some comfy pjs, turn on my current binge Netflix show (very much in […]

I’m tickled pink because this Valentine’s Day I have more to celebrate. As our family grows so does my love and I have so much to be thankful for. As the nursery slowly comes together, I can’t help to just stand in her room and smile. Knowing in just a few months I will be holding my little love in my arms. In the meantime it will just be the three of us (counting the fur baby), making this February 14th a special one. It will be our last love day celebrating alone because next year daddy will have a new Valentine, and I’m actually more than ok with that. I know my hubby was a little hesitant when we found out the gender of our little bun in the oven. Not because he didn’t want a girl, but because he didn’t and still doesn’t know what to expect out of raising a little girl. But who really does! Of course it’s going to be hard but there will be sweet rewards out of it all and isn’t that what parenting is all about? I’m ready to take on life’s curve balls as intimidating as it all sounds. On another note, […]

Hey guys! So it’s been a minute since I’ve done an outfit post. If you have been following our Instagram @fiftytwothursdays, then you are aware that I recently moved to the Golden State. The sky is clear and the flowers are always blooming – no complaints here. However, I do miss my family and close friends. On days like this post, Easter Sunday, having no family to celebrate with can be heartbreaking. I wish I could’ve seen my little nephew and niece race through the yard to find hidden easter eggs. The excitement in their eyes when they spot one and the smiles on their faces as they open their Easter baskets. Thankfully for FaceTime and SnapChat I am able to witness these events from afar. On Easter, the hubby and I attended mass followed with yummy brunch, dressed all in our Sunday’s best. As a “sucker” I naturally opted for an all white look, it seemed appropriate for the celebration. And for those brief moments when a cool breeze passed through I threw on a seersucker blazer. Get it… 😉 Fitting for Easter, I sported the Emma Drawstring Chloe bucket bag. If I only had an egg hunt of my own, it’s the perfect bucket for stashing eggs and candy! It can be […]

DC got hit with yet another winter storm. Several inches of fluffy white snow covered our streets leaving most DC area residents stranded at home. We felt it appropriate to feature this week’s Spring trend on the white out look, which DC decided to take to a whole other level! The Spring 2014 runways were dominated by white; models were dressed head to toe in all shades of white creating an effortless, powerful yet feminine and goddess feel. Jason Wu Runway J.
