You might click on this post and think “oh that’s a cute outfit” or maybe you think “what the hell was she thinking?” either way, when I look at this post all I see is total procrastination. I shot this look with Emma back in October and while it is one of my favorite outfits, it still took over 4 months to make it to the blog. But with the craziness of the holidays, brand collaborations and picking up my new position with Strong Fitness, this post and a few others had to be put on the back burner. So here I am playing catch-up but lucky for me this look is still relevant come late January (thank god). Just throw on cute oversized coat and you are good to go. This look is perfect for a night out with the girls, date night with bae, or even a first tinder date. Whatever the night throws at you, this suede get-up will leave a lasting impression. 😉 Suede FTW! Sarah is wearing: Turtleneck (Storets sold out similar here), Skirt (Free People sold out similar here), Boots (Stuart Weitzman), Bag (Chloe via Bag Borrow or Steal), Sunglasses (Rayban).

There’s something about wide open spaces that instantly transforms my mood and my mind set. Our trip to Wyoming and Montana did just that to me. As soon as I stepped foot off of the plane from DC and into the fresh Wyoming air, I was able to breathe a little deeper and I could feel my stress levels dropping by the second. Sometimes I get lost in my job and wind up working 10-12 hour days and don’t get me wrong, I love every second of it but sometimes you have to take a step back and SLOW IT DOWN. Slowing down is hard for me, I am a go-getter by nature and since starting my own business I have been go-getting harder than ever. So when I am able to get away and actually turn off my phone for 6+ hours, it feels refreshing. Not gonna lie, I had a minor freakout when we were without service for almost a day while exploring Yellowstone.. what if I don’t get my clients photo up on Instagram, what if the tweet I had scheduled doesn’t go out? But then I realized that I am experiencing some of the most beautiful parts of our […]

Wearing: Dress: Loft (on sale for $17.99), Sunglasses: Loft (on sale for $15), Stuart Wietzman Nudist Sandals: Blue Fly, Necklace: Old (similar here), Chanel Graffitti Bag: Borrowed from Bag Borrow or Steal I recently wore this look to speak on the panel of Blogger Scene, a local networking event that brings all kinds of different bloggers from around the DMV area together. Blogger Scene was created by our friends and Natalie and Erika of The Fashionably Broke and Ashley of Ashley in DC to help educate and bring bloggers together to learn the ins and outs of blogging as a business. I was extremely excited that I was asked to speak on this year’s panel along with my office mates Meg Biram and Claire Ashley (you should check them out btw- these ladies are legit) as well as Mel from “Sarah, Ty, & Mel” on DC’s 107.3”. As you can image, I was super intimidated to be on a panel with these #Girlbosses, I mean it was only a year ago that I was standing in that crowd taking notes and wondering how I was ever going to make it as a successful blogger. A lot has changed over the past year […]

Winter in DC can be rough. Living in a cold climate like ours, you have two choices. Hibernate in your home for the winter (which is sometimes an attractive option) or bundle up and go on with life as usual. We have to admit, we do a little of both when the frigid air moves in but like most people we can’t slow down or stop working just because it’s cold outside. The struggle is real when dressing for the cold weather in a city like ours. There are endless events to attend and to dress for, we are talking: work receptions, happy hours, sporting games, the list goes on and on. And wearing the same old same sweater and parka combo can get pretty mundane and leaves us not only feeling depressed about the bone chilling weather that we are enduring but also with our wardrobes. We have been there, we can sympathize but this year we are making an effort to change it up, to not let winter get the best of us and our wardrobes. Scroll down for a few of our tips on how we survive winter in DC. Sarah is pictured wearing: Poncho: Zara; Black Sweater: ASOS; Necklace: Coco […]
