Being that this is not my first rodeo and I know how difficult and time consuming it can be to compile a list of things you need to prepare for a baby, a baby that is not even here yet. SO! I thought it would be helpful to list my personal must haves. The must haves that will get you through those very difficult, sleepless few months and beyond. Must haves not only for baby but for mama too! Julius is almost one, so these pieces are tried and true x2! This list may get a little lengthy so I apologize in advanced but I wanted to make sure that I explained why I love each product so much. Here we go … Dock A Tot: This is a must especially during those first few weeks. Baby is sleeping most of the time and having a little portable bed that is both convenient and aesthetically pleasing is a game changer. We would tote both kiddos around the house in thiers. Owlet Sock: The owlet sock saved me hours of sleep. I can’t thank this device enough for giving me a sense of peace as it tracks your baby’s oxygen level […]

Nesting Necessities … When I was pregnant I had a lot of informative, experienced mommies tell me what was best to buy and stock up on before baby arrived. I listened to most suggestions, but I got to tell you … it can be quite overwhelming. I mean, how do you know what will really work for your baby that is still growing inside of you?! Now that my little Adaline has finally made her debut, a week and 2 days late (a lil’ extra time for mama to get in some more nesting prep) I have come to my own understanding the necessities I need and what works for baby. I have a few go to sites that I turn to for these essentials. One being the Baby Cubby. What makes them different is that they care about the well being of your baby and YOU! I can’t tell you guys how many times I have felt overwhelmed or discouraged as a parent in the little time that she has been on earth. Is she getting enough food, are her poops irregular, why does she keep sneezing, does she look blue, does she need another diaper change already, is she alive?!?! […]

I have to tell you my secret to dressing while expecting. I haven’t purchased too many maternity clothes. I own a few maternity jeans and dresses and layering tops that are long enough to cover this growing belly but for the most part I have continued to buy regular clothes that I can wear now and later, just being cautious of the fit. What is my secret? Jackets, blazers, bombers and vests! It’s the easiest way to stay on trend and relevant. Buy the basics that will help you get through your pregnancy but finding the right layering pieces will make your look feel more elevated and put together. Plus, it helps hide any unwanted back areas that can be tended to after baby 😜 My go to outfits are a comfortable pair of maternity jeans, long tank and blazer or a stretchy fitted dress complete with a bomber or leather on or over the shoulders. I just switch up the jackets and underneath pieces to create more looks than you can imagine. Or at least enough to get me through these past months! And the best part of it all, I don’t have to give or store away (incase […]

What’s in my diaper bag … Baby may not be here, but you better believe I’m running around like a mad woman getting everything ready, which includes my diaper bag! I’m sure once baby girl get’s here I’ll live and learn and adjust my diaper bag stuffing preferences, but for now this is a good start. As of now, I have 2 diaper bags. One for the hubby and one for me, both packed and ready to go. I went for the LeSportsac Ryan for a neutral diaper bag, easy to swap between the both of us. It’s clean and discrete with all the right compartments. My every day Goyard bag has been converted in to a diaper bag thanks to ToteSavvy from Life in Play. It’s large and roomy but with no compartments, so of course not ideal. With my new insert, I’m able to organize all the necessities plus some with ease and convenience. No more sacrificing fashion! The ToteSavvy has handles to easily pull out and slip in to an alternate bag incase the other doesn’t match your outfit. It’s made from a durable nylon twill that’s easy to wipe clean with an insulated bottle pocket, key clasp, changing mat, […]
