What is motherhood? I came across a quote I really enjoyed. That “being a mother is not about what you gave up to have a child, but what you gained from having one“. It’s crazy how having a baby will flip your world upside down yet in an instant that baby will too become your entire world in the best way possible. My husband and I used to be quite the wannabe “foodies”. We would try new restaurants each weekend and indulge in all the chef’s specials and delicious wine list. Today, in this day in age, it’s the last thing I want to do. After a long work week consisting of us coming home in the evening while frantically cooking/ eating dinner as a family with very little play time left over, the weekend is what we look forward to the most. All I want is to do is find fun activities and things to do to make my baby girl happy! But of course a date night, with good food once every few months is necessary for our sanity. Like I said, being home with baby A brings me all the joy in the world. When we moved in to our new home, I wanted to make […]

I kid you not, the other week my husband implied that I should be wearing more “mom dresses”. My immediate reaction was that he wanted me to wear more girly dresses now that I am a mom, which offended me but then I got to thinking … what makes a “mom friendly” dress? Comfort (comes first), care (something that can with stand dirt, throw up, food, and whatever else comes its way) and of course cuteness because a cute dress next to a cute baby works well together. Right? So that day I was headed to Target like most moms on a weekly basis picking up the usual – diapers, wipes, and whatever other random stuff I can find that I don’t need – and for once had a shopping purpose for myself. I browsed the women’s section which I never do and came across the Who What Wear line. Some cute stuff but for the most part not my style until I stumbled upon this black dress with the cutest “girly” details for only $29! I was afraid it would come across like a moo moo but took my chances, purchased and I would say it was quite the success! I […]

Weekend plans with Cabi … What does your normal weekend look like? Are you brunching with the girls this spring or maybe traveling to a local vineyard for a picnic in the sun? Those were my weekends about two years ago until lil’ miss Adaline came around. Now I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my lil’ mini me outdoors, usually at the park or adventuring around LA. We are always out and about and on the go. She has so much energy it’s so hard to keep up with her and because of that I have never valued comfortable and stylish clothes more than ever. I wanted to introduce you guys to an LA based fashion brand called Cabi and their latest collection, Elagancia. Their collection is fun, stylish, affordable and most importantly practical. I picked up this jersey knit stripped playsuit and cropped denim jacket for our regular weekend play dates. It’s so cozy and cute and has become a go to staple while handling my little one. Off the shoulder tops and silk blouses have now become a thing of the past. Ok well not ruling them out all together but definitely not while with baby girl. I’m not trying to […]

These aren’t your typical mom jeans … I seriously couldn’t help but smile this entire shoot because quite frankly I was just in my mommy element. Give me a comfy, over sized denim shirt that I can easily wipe off spit up and baby food with out staining along with a well fitted pair of denim that’s a bit trendier than the norm, any day. Baby girl is now 6 months. Can you believe it?! She’s half a year old!! I never really understood why mommies always took monthly photos, but now I do. You have to cherish EVERY single MOMENT, because with the blink of an eye they are a complete new baby. Adaline went from an infant to what I feel like a toddler within just weeks. Ok maybe not a toddler, but she’s a big girl! She is eating solids like a pro (and now pooping more than ever like a pro), napping like a champ, sitting up, laughing, rolling, playing and all that cute baby stuff. And of course all I do it talk about baby. I’m seriously at work just waiting for people to ask how she is so that I can just talk about what I’m […]
