High summer style, get it while it’s HOT … literally. Crazy to think that we are half way through the summer with fall right around the corner. (I know … “don’t remind me”) Why is that everyone talks about how they never want summer to end but then rave about fall fashion and they can’t wait to wear booties and a cozy sweater till we are all freezing our asses off in February waiting for the next season. We love fall style just as much as the next girl but let’s be honest summer is the easiest season to dress for so you can’t hate too much on it. Let’s embrace it! Not a lot of effort and thought is required to pass off a cute summer look. I like to think of it as our cheat season. School’s out for summer so instead of racking your brain on what to wear, just think of the necessities; sandals or a cute pair of wedges, a hat to cool you off and an easy throw on dress or off the shoulder top and light bottom. It’s that time of the year again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, where we all go just a little bit loco. We know it’s crazy to think of Fall Fashion as we endure these scorching hot summer days but we love strategic shopping and getting ahead of the game to save some dinero. So if you are brave enough to go in store, more power to you, but for those of you (like us) that enjoy a nice glass of wine and their laptop in hand then we have you covered! We rounded up our top favorite picks from the sale by category for some easy breezy shopping. The early access sale started today and goes through July 20th, so if you have a Nordstrom card you are in luck! Pool Daze

Holy hotness it has been a scorcher here in DC this summer. Beating the humid DC heat can be hard this time of year so I have been trying my best to hide out indoors or by submerging myself in any cool body of water I can find. One of my favorite pools that I frequent in DC is the rooftop pool at Embassy Row Hotel. They have such a cute setup and my favorite part about this pool is that they have a bartender that delivers the best cocktails right to you in the pool. Doesn’t get much better than that! I have been hitting the pool as often as I possibly can, especially since I have endured a hip injury that has made me take a step back from working out as much. You might be able to see the bruising on my right hip in some of the photos which was from a PT appointment that I had the day before this shoot. After realizing PT wasn’t doing the trick, I went in for an MRI where they found that I had torn my anterior labrum in my right hip. Which means I am currently weighing my options and […]
